Hi All,

****** FAMILY / SOCIAL RIDE WEEKEND*********

Want to get the family away for a ride weekend in January 2009 ?

When: Friday 16th - Sunday 18th January 2009 (Staying over Fri and Sat nights)
Where: 90 mins from Sydney TUGALONG Recreation Park (near Mittagong ) www.tugalong.com.au

• 5340 acres
• accommodation
• atv trails
• kids tracks
• camping & fishing
• moto tracks
• hill climbs
• enduro trails
Please let Jo know if you are interested by 21 November so we can get an idea on numbers and then advise re costs. Check out the website for more info about the property and then email me back. Shane & I will be there with our quads and Gem & Jake will be riding their MX bikes so it would be great to get some more friends and kids to join us.

Other news:
• We had a good turn out of quad riders to the Hunter MCC AGM last night which was great to see. Rob Booth, Shane Hardiman and Mick Roycroft have been nominated as the quad sub committee representatives.
• Their role will include liaising with the Hunter Club, rounding up volunteers to help with activities such as flag duties etc etc. So if you have any ideas or things to discuss let one of them know as these three keep in communication with one another on a regular basis. We will also keep our quad riders pizza nights going so we can keep the momentum up and get our East Coast Cup Series and other events off the ground in NSW.
• In case you haven't heard already we have had a win with MC NSW approving junior quad racing. Please be aware the matter is now with Dept of Sport and Rec for their consideration and approval. It has been requested that if we have any queries regarding progress of this matter please direct these to Glen Pickering of the Hunter MC Club rather than contacting MC NSW or Dept of Sport & Rec yourselves to avoid jeopardising the process with MC NSW or Dept of Sport and Rec as it is better to have one line of communication with them for their sake.
• We will re group in the new year once we have confirmation of dates for the series. We are looking at holding a NSW State Titles in conjunction with the Hunter Club probably in June 09 so we will need to get sponsors and volunteers on board and people to share their ideas on how we are going to run it and help out with this event.
As always let your friends know what's going on and invite them along in January.

hi all

as you know NSW are making inroads to forming an ATV club.

if you live in NSW or interstate and want to be updated on our progress,

can you please provide me with your Email and phone number so we can notify you of any meetings, social rides, racing and get togethers.

most of you already know if we have your details, but this is mainly for the people outside of the Newcastle area and interstate riders wanting to particpate in our events.

if you would like to pm or email me on mxn@onthenet.com.au

Mick

a few of us a planning a camping trip next saturday night 29th of November at Stockton.

all welcome if you want to come along.

we are planning on going out mid arvo setup, ride, drink water and then ride till we run out of fuel.

wakeup on sunday and do it all again.

if you want to come along let me know and i will keep you in the loop where we will be.

it would be good to meet and catch up with some people that are regulars at Stocko that we would normally just ride past each other.

Hi All,

****** East Coast Quad Riders FAMILY / SOCIAL RIDE WEEKEND UPDATE*********

We have had quite a few people and familes express an interest in the East Coast Quad Riders Weekend from Friday 16th to 18th of Januray 2009.

So what you all need to do is email Tugalong via tugalong@bigpond.com or ring Tugalong on 02 4878 9171 and speak to Danny or Corey to make your bookings or answer any questions you may have about the property.

The website is currently down at the momment as it has been hacked into however the website address is usually www.tugalong.com.au

Danny advised me camping is $15 per head per night and families are max $30 per night. There are showers and tolits near by.

The lodge accomodation is $80 per night which as self contained shower and tolit. The lodge accomodation is similar to semi motel style accomodation. You will need to bring your own linen or you can hire it for $10 per set.

Riding fees are $55 per day for adults and $33 per day for kids.

So depending on what you and your friends / family want to do you can book in for however many nights you like or you may just want to come for the day.

There is a swimming pool and a communal area known as the "shearing shed " with BBQ facilities for get togethers, camp fire and social activities.

So please yourselves as to what you suits you best however you will need to make a booking if you intend to stay over night.

When: Friday 16th - Sunday 18th January 2009 (Staying over Fri and Sat nights)
Where: 90 mins from Sydney TUGALONG Recreation Park www.tugalong.com.au

5340 acres
accommodation
atv trails

Hi All,

Great news, we can now confirm some additional dates, locations and information regarding the 2009 NSW racing season. We are doing our best to avoid NSW dates clashing with the Tri State Series as well as other inter state events so that all riders have the opportunity to make it to the events in NSW as well as attend their commitments to races in other states.

Hardiman ATV East Coast Cup

Round 1: Saturday 18 April Tamworth Motorcycle Club Oakburn Park on Gunnedah Road, just past the Airport. Motorcoss during the day & Flat Track in the evening.

Round 2: Sunday 24 May Quirindi Motorcycle Club (this date is pending confirmation we will advise ASAP) at Stu Johnson Park, which is located approximately five klms out of town on the Borah Creek Road.

Round 3: Sunday June 14th Hunter Motorcycle Club Barleigh Ranch Raceway off Italia Rd, Eagleton

Round 4: Sunday Oct 11th Hunter Motorcycle Club Barleigh Ranch Raceway off Italia Rd, Eagleton

Round 5: Possible Round 5 yet to be confirmed

NSW Open Quad Bike Classic: (Title to be revised once major sponsor(s) are confirmed)

Sunday June 28th Hunter Motorcycle Club Barleigh Rance Raceway off Italia Rd, Eagleton

This is an open event for riders aged 16 and up to be held at Barleigh Ranch in conjunction with the Hunter Motorcycle Club. All riders must have a national license. Classes for the event will include Pro / Expert / Novice / Vets 35 and over / Women's. More info regarding entry forms / fees etc will be made available prior to the event.

A licensing day will be held at Barleigh Ranch those interested please email jo@hardimanatv.com.au

** If you or your employer is interested in sponsoring this inaugural event we are inviting sponsors to assist with the cost of awards by sponsoring individual racing categories. Please contact Glenn Pickering (details below) to express your interest or find out more information.

Any general queries please contact:

Shane Hardiman shane@hardimanatv.com.au Tel: (02) 4353 3622
Glenn Pickering hunter-mcc@bigpond.com
Mick Roycroft mxn@onthenet.com.au
Rob Booth crbmetaldesign@hotmail.com
Todd O'Leary toddleary@optusnet.com.au

Hello to all
Unfortunately we have just been advised that Tamworth ( April 18th) and Quirindi ( May 24th) events have been cancelled. This is a set back for the ATV riders of NSW but please do not let this prevent us from moving forward. The first Hardiman Cup event will now be Barleigh Ranch June 14th.

The biggest problems that we as ATV riders are face with in the state of NSW is the lack of ride locations that allow Quads or even want Quads to use there venues. ATV riders of NSW need to work towards the ultimate goal of a stand along NSW ATV club that dose not rely on other clubs to hold our events. We need dedicated people that are willing to become trained up as M.A approved officials and we need to build up our numbers so that we can eventually hire tracks to run our events. All of this will take time and we need to keep moving forward and not let any setback take our attention away from this goal. With any luck we will hopefully have junior racing up and running for next year and this will help increase numbers and bring us closer to a NSW ATV Club.

Please spread the word to all your friends so that no one turns up to Tamworth and finds no one their.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i have heard back from Moree today and they are going to have us there for a round. they are just working with MNSW to finalise some of there open dates so then we can pick some dates that would suit.

still waiting to hear back from Quirindi, and i am about to ring lakes to see if there is a chance to do a round there practice or a 1 class race or atleast something.

there is a meeting tomorrow night at Wallsend Diggers club Wallsend at 7pm to start organiseing an interclub event for quads at Barleigh Ranch June 27th. if you can make it or want to help out this would be much appreciated.

unfortunetly i can't be there, but Glenn Pickering from the HMCC will be there

Moree Motorcycle club would like to have us on the 5th of September for some racing.

proberbly run 3 classes A, B, C with A and B running off the same grid and C grade which is for newbies and beginners to run in there own grid

proberbly 10min Motos for A, B which i was told is only 3 laps and 2 laps for the beginners.

whos coming?

i have checked that it does not clash with any other dates in NSW or Qld so there are no excuses.

PM me or ring me for more info, Quirindi is next on the list.
