Well this weekend being my leave pass, and was graciously invited by our very own grizzly for a scoot on some trails he knows of. Well once we actually got on the bikes and it would seem every square inch of Victoria is now wet, so I'm going to say it first here, the drought is broken, thank you Mr Brumby and the greens for saving us. But anyhoo, Grizz's mate is leading us down some ST and I love it, wet, tight and more turns and twists than moderators meeting here. So we are going to head back to the cars, and I suggest we go back the way we came, one of them start winging its too hard and two head back the easy way. So we do it again and I get to try the big 700 grizz, not bad with a decent suspenion under the old girl, let me say. And we get back to the cars. So we load up and head off to the next location, and special thanks to Preisty for sharing with me our special moment in the car, with my pants around my ankles and not much else on...
So for the first time I hit the dunes, was weird not having trees to dodge or mud holes to avoid, mind you I got bogged a few times… some of these dunes are huge and didn’t quite feel confident to try some of them. but we hit the beach and looks like there was an oil spill. But the day turned out bloody fantastic, and just were we parked the car was the pines… ah heaven. So I’ll be back for the pines at least So a big thanks to Preisty and grizz for his wonderful hospitatlity, mind you NEVER EVER EVER let him do your brake pads.
Now we rode on this white stuff
