I stumbled across this helicopter rescue at Stockton Beach.
Could be a bit thought provoking.

No judgements on the accident please. 
But be thankful that some states have these resources to provide this sort of help when needed. After watching this, I'll be sure to have a V-sheet in the kit.

I already have a epirb for when i ride in isolated areas , but im sure now that i will also add a flare to this list of must have equipment
