forget bthe pouncy power steering, I thought you top end blokes were tough ??? make sure you ditch those shocking brake lines and fit braided lines, but go for a decent ride before you change them, so you will know the difference... Very Happy

Husky, while I don't have the mentioned bike, I've been really involved in some product evaluations. No BS paid journalism. Straight facts.
I did this with Graham(Buzz) and Russel( Rusty) from ATV Off Road.
I can tell you that the best mud tyre I've ever seen is the "Pitbull Growlers". They just don't clog up and they are so pliable they grip like a gecko. Podsoils, peat, clays and sand. Best gear going.
Snorkels.....plenty of styles about. They are all a pain to fit and nearly all will require rejetting or remapping for the fuel supply. But for mudding and unexpected submarining, I'd say the trouble is worth it.
Piping that is UV rated doesn't go brittle and can handle the odd knock.
The T-max winches, in a 3000lb with a synthetic rope is the go for a quad.
Bugger all cuurent draw even when loaded up, and after using synthetic rope, you won't want to use anything else.
Tyres and power steering is a personal choice.
I'd suggest getting on to 700quad about exhausts. He's been developing his bikes for years and is pretty clued up on the quackas.
He'll also mention clutching, which is the easiest way to improve the performance for the type of riding your talking about.
Hope that helps.

.Shower plastic grate fit in the top and stops any big crap going down the tube , They are a bit flexable as well, mine are just sitting there you can have them in the centre or the outside.

Husky,
This should help with the product and contact details.....

http://www.atvoffroad.com.au/

Quite a few pics, vids and links there.

Like any motor racing, it depends on how much money you are prepared to throw at it, Husky.
I like mud events, and one of the reasons is because the varying track conditions level the playing field so quickly.

Mudding is hard on unis regardless of rubber. It's just physics.
Gorilla axle assemblies have been sold in big numbers in the states and mud events are huge over there
But I'd back the Growlers over the Mud-zillas.

Those Tyres look great 8 ply as well ....

I'm not sure if you know what a Mudzilla looks like but in the swamps Mudzillas would eat them for breakfast. As a all round tyre they look good. How big are the lugs?? How well do they wear ? do you have a set? sorta what price ??

Winchs look great

Watched the Vid of Yammie and Can am up the rock grorge lol the X clips the rocks ..... Probably bent the frame lol Great to see they wear helmets.

Great site ... Might have to get those guys to Kamfari and Test some of there gear.

I know the mudzillas, Husky.
They are a great swamp tyre. And very good at digging trenches with horsepower. Quite rigid in the plies. Built more like a tractor tyre.
Deep penetration and made to self clean.
The growlers are better.
The staggerred lugs are about 25/30 mill tall and very effective at finding traction with the pliable construction. A more modern design. Better. Period.
The dedicated mud tyre is the growler. 6 ply only.
The other tyre is the rocker. 6 and 8 ply.
We're still evaluating the rocker....but so far looks good. Very Happy
Buzz's Renegade is getting the required chassis upogrades. Rolls eyes
Rusty rides hard. Apart from the endless wheelies, I've seen a lot of power slides. And more mudholes on a arvo's ride than many people see in a year of weekends.
At about the 1000K mark, his Growlers are showing some light scrubbing on the outside lugs, but otherwise pretty good, considering.
Rusty is off this weekend doing more product evaluation.
Lucky bugger. laughing
When I wear my stock cheung fings out, the growlers are going on.
Kamfari is on the wish list.
For further info, give the lads a call.
