G'day.... i been mucking around with a Honda Odyssey for a while now for the kids to ride..but it was a bit impractical for them to start it given the youngest is 6 years old.. oldest is ten..

So i thought i'd upgrade to a quad for em, nice lil 250 or 300 like the Bayou the next door nieghbour had.. bit of scope for them to grow into.. finally settled on a 350 Banshee despite what the sales guy was saying.. those guys are all full of "profanity removed" anyway..

So i haven't ridden it yet, getting the kids out this weekend for a blat. Look forward to catching up out there with some of you guys once the Rec Reg is sorted...

you can diss your neices or newphews with these kind of quotes for nieces but it depends on what kind of relationship you have with them. it works if you use to jokes with them. moderated let it go. this is my first post:)

Welcome dude , I tend to agree with Mart as well.
The salesman would have been right on the mark , I hope it turns out all ok but the Banshee is not a kids quad.
My son was a lot older when he learnt to ride & that was on a Banshee.

Welcome.

I ride with my 4yo sitting on the front of my raptor 700r going very slowly.
With all the safety gear.
Even at six he will find it difficult to turn and won't really be able to ride by himself any way.
I'm sure they will have fun riding around with you.

Come on guys we know it is politically incorrect to ride around 2 up on a quad but we have all done it.

My little fella that is four has a raptor 90 that we can limit the speed down to a walking pace but he doesn't really like it because it is to harsh and he gets bounced around a fair bit even at low speed.

He loves his little honda crf50cc that has training wheels and he rides full speedway style on that thing when it is muddy.
I have the training wheels about 10cm up before they touch the ground he is getting to the stage where he can keep balance and he even leans into corners.
He has many hours on that bike without a crash yet.

Keep safe and have fun.
