have a polaris 500ho had left hand front cv boot come off after playing in mud my question is what is the best way to get the clamp tight enough so the cv boot dosent come off again its simalar to a cable tie sort of thing but loses tension when you let it go lany advice would be much appreciated |

Mate, I think there is a special pair of pliers that tighten those clamps and you will need a new clamp as well.

i work at hardy spicer. do lot of cv's do need special tool. but if got room just use hose clamp. we use zip ties at work _________________ Just wanna go fast

Mate I think you can get them from most good tool shops or bearing shops. I dont think there that expensive. I think Ed's idear is a good one on the short term for an emergencey fix but you want to do it right for the long term. CV's can get expensive. Mate if you ever blow a CV make sure you go to an autmotive CV specialist first because 9/10 they can rebuild your CV at a fraction of the cost of a new one. Best of luck.

i had look today i have pliers at work u can borrow them if need be. As overlord said about new cv. hardy spicer sell alot and really good prize or cbc _________________ Just wanna go fast
