Hi Guys,
I have two questions.
We recently purchased a new 250CC Sahara Buggy from Capalaba. I find it very sluggish on hills, especially when there are two of us on board. It loses the Revs and eventually stops. No torque, which I presume is the cheap Chinese automatic gear box. Is there anywhere on the Gold Coast I can take it to have that issue corrected?
Question two: We would like to take it around the Kilkivan area. Does anyone know of a location near Oakview State Forest we can go?
Many thanks,
Dean |

I'd be taking it back to the dealer for any warranty and preliminary service work.
Bearing in mind it's only 250cc,and in a buggy format, it won't be a powerhouse as much as a fun machine.
Many of these have throttle restrictors to avoid over revving a new motor.
Re: Kilkivan. Sadly, this is home to a few vocal greenies who will be happy to get any authority to spoil your fun........ _________________ Remember. We elect politicians, but we have to deal with bureaucracy.

Thanks Dino,
This my first one, so 250CC is 'Man-Style' for me!
Can't take it back. There are not exactly a friendly bunch. Buying it was a chore. It feels like the auto slips. Cost about $3,000 and have only used it twice. I feel like I may have to get someone to replace the running gear. Where to take it and how much it would cost, I have no idea.
Need it to be able to haul us up and down mountains with no problems. We don't want to trash it, more to be used to carry us and our gear around on Expeditions.
I see there have been Quads at Oakview State Forest, near Kilkivan. Would love to find out who there guys are, and join in.
