Hey Guys and Gals we have all been on here for a while now and have either got new quads or even done some upgrades , by means of adding extras or just adding a few personal touches to your machine .
We have nearly all put our pic in the Show us your Utility quad section , and the amount of people that have veiwed it over the past 12 months is enormous, maybe there are a few closet racers or sports quad owners out there that are envious of our machines , lol
How about we now put up a pic with some of our mods and extras that we have added , just so as to see the difference and even with a small note as to why we took that path , like sort of a product review. especially since most of us have had our new machines for a bit longer now.
Just a thought that is all . _________________ 2012 Can am Outlander Xt 1000cc

And a good thought it is Grizz, Most just throw up a new pic of mods without saying why we went with it or how the new mod has worked...or has'nt.
Like the other post/pic i put up, i went with these tyres, just to try them. Was a little worried how aggressive they are for the riding i mainly do but, they impressed me. most tyres are well over the $200 mark with these well below. And i also went with a 6 ply tyre, trying to keep the weight off the Grizzly. The bike is heavy enough as it is. For the price i think there ok.

I also see you have the Richochet bash plates , i was very happy with the quality of them and the fitting was so neat and well done.
I also like the plates that go over the foot wells , as they stop sticks going into the plastic and pushing them upwards, therefore pulling the bolthead through it _________________ 2012 Can am Outlander Xt 1000cc

Hi Grizz
The wheels are the 'Douglas Nitro's', they were a new model and rated at 800 pounds per rim i think.

Did you pick up any extra width in your wheel base , and if so did you like the extra stability in the handling aspect _________________ 2012 Can am Outlander Xt 1000cc

Yes mate, they are a 'off set' rim, so i have about an inch wider either side. I had 1.5 inch wheel spacers on it (which are now for sale !!) all round, but found they gave the bike speed wobbles at a certain speed, thats with the original tyres though.
I much prefer the wider feet under the Grizz, makes it a lot more stable. _________________ Yamaha Grizzly 700 SE 2010

It doesnt matter what sort of bike dino as we all like to know what other brands have to offer , dont worry they all have faults , the yamaha has a few , sometimes having different options allows others to maybe get into a machine with less money spent _________________ 2012 Can am Outlander Xt 1000cc

And looking at what some owners have been doing to customise their bikes to suit their needs, the perfect 4wd bike is a urban legend.
And I'd certainly agree that all bikes have issues. And what is a nothing issue to one owner is a meltdown for another.
Here is ours. Absolutely bog stock except for the ocky straps and airport luggage. $7 250. A brand new 2 up, registered and ride away. We love it.
As I said earlier, I'll post a review up shortly. _________________ Remember. We elect politicians, but we have to deal with bureaucracy.

Thanks Grizzly. The mirrors are actually really good on the trails. The seat is very comfy. front and back. Colours depend on which model but the 500 & 500A come in red, yellow or black in Aus. The newer X5 & X6 have blues, greens, metallic silver and camo.
After my disc replacement operation, we'll have a additional 2 seater to take riding. _________________ Remember. We elect politicians, but we have to deal with bureaucracy.

Yes Fox. It does pull well two up. Whether through mud holes or on secondary roads, I've never been found wanting for torque. It's no stump pulling Grizzly but it aquits itself well.
Yeah, carrying stuff takes a bit of organising. A decent back-pack is great for a single day ride but we've a few Tamarack bags on order for bigger trips.
The Camo is used for riding, but it's also handy when want to blend in. You know what I mean. _________________ Remember. We elect politicians, but we have to deal with bureaucracy.

I've no qualms about it's country of origin guys. The yammi tyres are made in Chuna, same as the Maxi's and many other big names. Tamarack bags likewise, and probably every computer on this forum.
Yes Yogie, you'll get a honest appraisal and write-up. and plenty of pics. _________________ Remember. We elect politicians, but we have to deal with bureaucracy.
