As many are aware, there is some good trails and a nice open area (at the moment) for people to ride in. However, those that ride there know that there are houses nearby.
Could I ask all riders to stay away from the houses and not race up and down at full noise. Could I also ask that everyone wear a helmet at least. It is only a matter of time before residents become sick of the noise and this area will be closed off permanently too.
I spoke to the Police on Sunday and they stated that they received complaints every weekend about inconsiderate riders. The Police were pretty good about it, saying that if people used common sense, rode in a safe manner and wore the right gear, they could look the other way. But if an accident occurs, people complain or if they witness stupid behaviour, they will force the land owner to seal off the land and fine anyone who trespasses.
So please - join me in asking the weekend warriors to do the right thing and lets hold on to the tract of lnd for as long as we can. |
