yamaha banshee problem please help

got a yamaha banshee all stok bought it of this guy that said he had it sitting like for like 6 months and went i bought it and braught it home put knew fuel changed spark plugs and knew gear oil.. but seems when i turn it on it stays on idling but after like 5 minutes it cuts if i turn it off with the kill switch start back up straight away but wen it cuts out by its self its very hard to get the bike going again though it could be from the carbs from sitting for long.. please any one with any idea please let me know thankss...

Dirty Fuel Filter?

(do banshees have a fuel filter)

or maybe -
make sure choke is in the way.
make sure e-brake is off, if it is on bike will start but not rev (there is a button going into clutch lever look for wires.
try removing your T.O.R.S. on top of carbys.

agree to above. i had idle problems. cracked the shits and bought twist grip throttle and tors eliminator. so whatever it was, it was related to tors...

sounds like fuel bro does she idle really high before it cuts out if so check filter and the filter on the fuel cock they can get gummed up probably good idea to get the carbs cleaned and serviced good luck
