The wife's outlaw bucks like a horse out on the trails at the moment. Can somebody tell me how to soften the suspension to smoothen out the ride. We ride mainly river bed and sand based tracks and the bike never leaves the ground usually. Any help would be appreciated.

Might be time for some aftermarket suspension. If you go for Elka it will be set up for your wifes weight and riding style. Theres plenty of other reputable suspension brands out there. Have a look around. Cheers.

Tyre pressure is set on recommended pressure. Bike is brand new and shocks have been set for wifes weight via ride height measurements etc. I rode it yesterday and you feel every bump in the track. The front end rocks side to side and everything just feels way too hard. I think the shop has set the bike up for mx not trail as we asked. I need a bit of guidance as to where to start adjusting. Springs...rebound..compression???

your tyres should be about 4.5 in the rearand 4 to 4.5 in the front check them, she's small so if they are too hard she will be bouncing around like all hell.

definitely not the tyres mate, we checked them before we set out on the ride and all were at 4 psi. The GLW is not that much lighter than I am and even I found it very uncomfortable to ride.

Just start by taking a bit of pre load out of the springs and see how that feels before playing with rebound and compression settings.
That's all I did for my wife on her Polaris and she was happy.
