it would seem that due to popular demand that we have been approached by local riders and local business to form the south east Queensland riders group for family’s....

Here’s the jist of the whole deal with a conversation with some of the interested riders...


so many riders wanna come ......
we already have the QQRA....
but it would seem a lot of these riders would be happier with a more family orientated ride group that care...
im sure that’s what the QQRA is family days out riding....
we like what you guys are doing and you now have business people willing to sponsor you
what the hell do we need for sponsor ship for a couple of maquis and a bbq ?
why the hell not couple of silk screens and its on....some of these business have offered there services already ...
all right then ... let’s do it
we could have a Ride day once each two months at one of the closer parks like Glenden Brooke ... Glenden station ... rover and emu park until the new dam site is open im sure we can get a good deal on riding for the day with numbers ... i recon we can have a few fun events out there like a poker run and a bbq ..

but the name doesn’t suit who’s riding we have All types of ATV wanting to ride not just quads how about gold coast ATV assocation Or GCATVA......
anyone have any thoughts on this .... bad idea good idea who knows maybe someone will send a group of hevys to put pressure on the kids so we don’t do it

hey guys ok here it is its offical were registering the group and were planning a ride out at glendon station *warrick on the queens birthday weekend it will be great fun we have a registerd Atv mechanic comming to keep us all rolling .. a couple of ATV shops who will bring some of there goodies to try out ... it looks like a good start to a beautiful thing .

if you would like to come let us know it will be the first Officaial GC Atv event ... love to see you and your fam there will be a cheap weekend less than one days racing for 1 kid thats cheap... lets us know if your keen to attend were making booking asap !

i tend to lean towards the South East Queensland ... either ATV Assoc or org or Quad Rider Acc or org ...

Hey Dazz i think this great what you are doing the more clubs the better!! If you get this rolling and you are willing to have me and my wife as a member we will be more than happy to join your club, as i have mentioned earlier i/we support the sport at all levels which is why i/we are currently members in about 5 clubs now. I think the family environment is fantastic and i would be more than willing to help pass on my years of riding/racing experiance to many a kid or adult wanting to learn.
The reason we have became involved in QQRA is because of this very environment, as the die hard racing community is a bit too aggressive for me now days.
I would lean towards the GCATV group as you are wanting to be local only and SEQQRA is a bit broader than what you are looking at supporting i think but thats only my opinion.
Dazz if you put as much passion and determination behind this as you do your posts this will be a fantastic new club that will go ahead in leaps and bounds when you get your club structure and commitee together and a organised ride or event day, i will look at offenring some sponsorship for it with a few trophes and stuff for the kids, just like i am sponsoring some classes for the QQRA enduro in july.

Nice design, you have been busy. Being a Brissie boy I think I'd prefer SEQ rather than GC! what ever the final name, I like the concept your proposing.

You guys have go me all wrong i never said i didn't like Dazz or anybody else on this forum. I just barked up and wrote the things i did for a number of reasons.
1 - i was disappointed with people constantly bashing the QQRA saying they weren't doing anything when they had no idea whether they were or not!!! It was not I that started the squeak squeak line!! As i have mentioned just because people don't write in on the forum doesn't mean they are doing nothing.
2 - I am a very big family man and I would like to try to preserve riding areas for all the future generations, we have not been fortunate enough to have kids yet but to say i don't care about family's or their needs because i don't have kids is a major insult and it really p%#sed me off.

As stated i/we are more than happy to support another local club as the more clubs the better my wife is also currently getting right into the sport and so we are also looking at trying to put together more womans classes (including social rides) to extend the sport even further. So as i have mentioned before I/we support the sport at all levels and are willing to offer any assistance that we are able should you wish us to.

p.s we already own 2 cats so i don't want anymore

My 2 cents worth....... B 2 lay-out with A 4 bike.
I do like the black but, I don't know how the pic will turn out against the black.
I like the pic because I see the back of enough bikes when we ride.
