Any tips for what to look out for. Having a look at a used one this weekend.

Don't have any details as of yet. Will later today.

2007 model

8500k's/600hrs...............About average for a farm bike i reckon

Few oil leaks and the gear shift is 'clunky'

They are fixing all the problems on it. Good dealer who I buy a lot of equipment through so I would try and swing a good warranty

What's it worth?

Have you posted that on the rinconriders forum?

Turns out the bike I'm looking at was owned by a client of ours. So I'll get the god/bad from him. Cool

Been used as a livestock bike.

The only good things on the canam is thay are a little faster and they have power steer they are also Very noisy in the CVT department have a stupid air box & filter setup i'm told. Fast don't matter off roading the rincon will catch up when the canam has to stop to put the diff lock in. The rincon kicks it in handling & that P-Steering be prepared for bruised ribs if you aren't ready for it

Spoke to the previous owner today.

Apparently this was one of the first 680's into Oz in 07 and it had a heap of problems.

Had issues with overheating and sticking thermostat (would explain the oil leaks). Electronic glitch that just caused it to stop on occasion. He told me he hated the thing and thrashed it mercilessly.

Don't touch it with a barge pole was his advice Laughing

Whaddya reckon? Worth trying to get cheap Laughing Laughing Laughing

Onwards Ho!

Call me stupid but I now own a 2006 Rincon.

Had a look at it and told them what I thought it was worth. It's no oil painting but I think I can get it sorted

Had a play this arvo. Needs some adjustment in the selector and has a strange noise from the final drive ( I think, haven't had a close look). Has been used as a bulldozer pushing hay bales and the like and the front end is pushed back in slightly.

Salesman reckons I didn't buy it "Ya f##ken stole it" was his words.

I thought $5900 was a reasonable offer for something that they would have to spend a couple of grand on to get it into a showroom.

Should do the job I want nicely though

They probably gave about $4K trade in for it.
