Brett
I had an K&N on my Raptor 700, and now have one on my Grizzly 700, they clean up easy and work very well performance wise.

Like hustler said, it's all down to personal preference. I still reckon a good quality foam like Pro Design with adapter are the best, but I hate cleaning foam filters. I'm @nal about filter maintenance so a K&N with Outerwear works great for me.
All filters will suck dirt if you don't clean & maintain them properly. _________________ Don't close your eyes during the crash, you'll miss the best part |

i've run K&N's and foam filters, the K&N's are great performance and maintenance wise but i allways found they let fine dust though, so i prefer the foam filters. _________________ 01 Banshee

Yeah, I'm with bigjon. I've run a big variety of motors in really bad conditions. The foam jobbies do it best, especially in the centres fine dust.
BUT, if with the sort of competing you do only involves a motor lasting a much shorter time than a weekend warrior, a K&N as described will do the job.
I'm told the dust up the front isn't as bad.......
Dunno myself, drilling rigs are normally following someone who knows where they're going. _________________ Remember. We elect politicians, but we have to deal with bureaucracy.

My bet goes to knn. If you can find a drop in filter its much better compared to cone types less dirt and heat soak. _________________ "Invest with atv parts that are reliable and inexpensive." |

| I had GYTR Foam filter and also GYTR K&N style. I preferd the K&N style as it was easier to clean and re-oil. I rode in dusty NT and never had any issues with either one. |
