| i currently wear axo boxer boots but the sole is now wearing through on these. just wondering what boots everyone wears and how they have held up. mine have lasted about 2 years-ish with riding every couple of weekends. |

Fox pro forma s have treated me well but the plastic fox emblem on the back of the boot rubs on the back plastic & leaves marks
Alpine tech 6 prob my next choice they got leather on the back which saves your plastic
good topic i need new boots come to think of it be interesting to what people reckon |

alpine stars tech 7's can bend my ankle easily tech 10's are just way to expensive but there sh!t hot but, have used just about every boot there is over the years worse were axo prime cant bend your ankle well enough, as for fox the clips are crap break to easy had a few pairs require a trip to peter stevens for new clips, on par alpine stars are a few more dollars but there well worth it but there your feet |

are they the forma adventure boots? how do they go with only three buckles as opposed to four on most other boots? |

the comp series are the ones to use as they are the most popular.
4 buckles, they are made by Diadora and imported by Frontier distrubution. the sizing is similar to alpinestars a lttle and from that we can work out your size from the tech series

I'd say depending on your budget, any of the tech series boots from alpinestar would be good, really good buckles, very comfy, and last for ages. I've been using a set of tech 6's for last 2-3 year and they're still going strong (apart from being a bit smelly ) |

I recently got a pair of SIDI Crossfire RS and they are amazingly comfortable. I didn't even have to break them in!
They also have a torsion system that prevents twisting your ankle and stops the boots squeezing the ankles, which my Oneal boots were really bad for. Most normal leather boots will bend sideways which will not prevent a twisted ankle. _________________ Cheers,

JimmyO, the fact that someone loves their boots does not mean much to you.
It is all about your foot shape.
The Italian boots look good , but useless to me as they seem to be made for ballerina feet, way too narrow.
With my flipper feet the only comfortable ones so far are the all leather Fly's.
They don't look good unfortunately
My point is: try all of them on, personally.
I would be keen to hear recommendations from wide footers here.
Cheers |

ive got wide feet myself mate.
i just got a set of the forma boots off roycroft. they look and fit great. would have been a problem otherwise though as they are the biggest size available. i had tried on alpinestars tech 10's and a few other cheaper boots in the local motorbike shops but couldnt find anything that fitted/i liked.
will see how the forma boots hold up |

I have wide feet and for a long time had problems with footwear.
Sidi Crossfire are wider than my old Oneal Element MXboots, but yes....ALWAYS TRY THEM ON....AND WALK AROUND IN THEM FOR A WHILE.
The ones I really didn't like were Oxtar TCX comp.
But yeah it's all personal. _________________ Cheers,

Hi all,
I had a little Ebay business going for a while about 18 months ago buying 5 sets of boots from the US at a time (perfect fit in a box) and importing to sell on AU Ebay. Trying to remember how much they cost me but struggling, damn beer killed too many brain cells. I 'think' I used to pay around $130 a pair. I only bought in Alpinestar Tech 6 as after a bit of trial and error I deemed these to be the best. The guy I used to deal with was very professional, I never had a single issue.
I'll put his email address below, if a group of you are looking to update I can highly reccomend getting in contact with him, pick one of you to be the contact person and organise the $$, it will work out much cheaper than buying locally and they're pretty quick, I used to wait approx 2 weeks.
Email for Kelley (he's a dude) - kelley@lytleracinggroup.com
Their website - http://www.lytleracinggroup.com/

i got a set of the forma dominator comp boots.
they are a great fit similar in sizing to the alpinestars road boots which i also have a pair of. they look great and fit great. much more support than the axo boxers i wore previously and hold their support over the course of a day riding much more then with the axo's as well.
i highly recommend these boots to anyone and are a great fit and look great too.
have a chat to roycroft on the forum for a good price on some high quality boots |

my brother uses alpine star tech 2 similar to thor 50/50's which are made for atvs, he hates full length boots on his quad he loves them was going to go that way as well when my tech 7 wear out pretty good with some free style nylons doesn't scratch the crap out of his plastics either all though all the tech series arnt to bad on them either unlike some of the cheaper plastic boots
