Hi guys...I did a bit of a search, but I am looking for a specific answer....
Can an RZR S be registered in QLD for off road use.....
I know things like blinkers and stuff all need to be done, but after you jump through all those hoops, can it be registered for use in the cape york region ?
fingers crossed Harb |

Harb,
You can get recreational registration from Qld transport, just take your invoice with you as proof of ownership. You can fill in your forms before hand by downloading the application.

I would warn you that Rec Rego realy intitles you to nothing but is required for a lot of organised rides in Qld. Make sure you check with wherever you plan to ride to see if Rec Rego is acceptable. I am riding to the Cape this year in my RZR but I am doing it on an organised ride with permits and Police approval, you may be better going on one of those rides.
Cheers, Greg
You are not required to have an indicators for rec rego. _________________ 2012 Polaris RZR XP Turbo

I think the rec rego form requires you to tick a box saying you have blinkers etc before you will get issued with a rec rego. We just never quite bother to put a set on !!!! LOL (I got stopped by qld transport at the time i was looking to rego my last bike for not ticking that box ....)
Unless the form has changed now , might pay to put a tick in the box ?? _________________ It's time too ride !!!!!!! |

Thanks for the info Greg.
So do you have limited. unlimited or Zone rego then.......
I will have to ring them, being a non QLD resident might make it harder. |

Harb, if it's just a trip at the Cape for a interstater, then a PTA may do the job. A PTA is a Permit To Traverse. That's a sort of " OK, just this once thing." You can also get the "rec rego" for 3 months. It depends who you talk to at the RTA, but both were available, when I last asked 6 momths ago. I hope that helps...... _________________ Remember.
