swiped a tree that pulled out the rear break light power cable from the break leaver. 5 min later was riding in 5th gear down the road and the bike shut off. Tried to use the electric starter and heard click click click click click as if the battery was flat...Suspected there was a short that drained the power.
Reconnected the break light..
Charged the battery
Checked the 2 large fuses on the positive power cable coming off the battery
Checked 5 small fuses in the tail.
The dash lights come on but when i hit the electric start there is a *click* from the solenoid (i think its called) that's grouped with the first two fuses off the battery and the dyno jet map computer in the tail lights up but the starter doesn't turn over.
Tried a different battery, same thing.
At no point did any fuse blow.
Is there another group of fuses?
Can anyone suggest what to do next before I fork out for a mechanic. Budget is real fken tight atm.
Thanks[/list] |
