Just read on Fullnoise that there is an ATV class as part of the 2007 National Arenacross Series.
Round one is at Avalon Speedway in Geelong on 25th Feb, entries forms are on MV website and entries close 16th Feb.
Sounds like a lot of fun if we can chase up some numbers.
Who would be interested? |

I'm gonna post this up on QRCV to Aaron, might get some more interest up, be good if we found out about some of this stuff more than a month out though..... _________________

I agree Pete, I literally stumbled upon the ATV class mention in the Full Noise article and proceeded to check out the supp regs, couldn't belive it at first but it's great to see that ATV's are being included in more events.
I know of three guys that are keen, myself included but no-one has confirmed yet, just over a week left to get entries in.
I might make a few calls and find out how many entries the organisers need to run the class, the supp regs. say 12 but that many quads on a 20 bike gate could be a bit of a squeeze |

Rang the organisers thisarvo.
$70 entry fee
Minimum of 3 quads to enter in order to run the class.
Maximum of 10 entries in order to fit 20 bike gate.
I know of 4 guys that are keen, would be great if we could get a full grid.
Entries close last mail next Friday. |

Received a call from Full Throttle Sports yesterday arvo.
The ATV class was dumped from the Avalon Arenacross program due to lack of numbers, apparently 4 entries wasn't enough.
I think there may have been an influx of two wheeled entries and the promoters took the best financial option.
A disappointing result both for the riders and the many potential spectators I have spoken to in the last few weeks who were keen to view a different type of spectacle.
Maybe next time. |
