My piece of sh1t bike that is really starting to p1ss me off is leaking coolant now. Mad I was going to go for a ride this arvo and when I checked the level there was none in it. So i put some in and found out it is leaking from an overflow pipe that is at the front of the motor on the right hand side under where the radiator pipe comes in.
Anyone know whats wrong with it this time?

Thanks

Water pump seals, quite common with YFZ's.

To do it properly, replace the two seals and the bearing along with making sure the impeller shaft isnt grooved.

If you just replace the outer seal, chances are it will leak again pretty soon.

Yeah I suppose its not too bad. Just is annoying whenever I am going to go for a ride with my mates I find something else wrong. If they are only $5 seals it will be easy though. Just didn't want to find out they would be $40 each or something crazy.
Thanks for the help everyone.

The seals and bearing shouldnt cost you any more than $30 from your Yamaha dealer. If the shaft needs replacing, thats closer to $100 extra.

If you careful with the side case gasket, you can reuse it, saving another $50
