Are they a 'good bike'? Yes, but........

If I was in the market I would look at the Outlaw with IRS.

My 2c worth.

a mate i go riding with picked up a 05 about 4 months ago when he decided to replace is old 350 rapt being a yank he went with a polaris pred 500, the first week it blew 4th gear had it fixed by rep mec shop here is SA as he knows nothing about motors took 4 weeks for the gear to get here from the US got it back about 5 weeks later, a week later wile running it in it had a grinding noise from the engine so he shut it down and took it back to be looked at needed new crank bearings another 4 weeks from polaris none in aust got that back the 1st time out it dropped a valve big problem as it killed the head and every thing in the engine, so after spamming ebay for a sh head he had the whole engine rebuilt, ran for about 2 times out and dropped 2nd gear another 4 weeks later and a total rebuild we were out about 3 weeks ago and it snapped a timiing chain bending the exaust valves this time its being fixed under warranty as they supplied the chain in the rebuild, its still got 3 weeks wait for parts ie valves and new bearings again the cost of all this with the purchase price he could have got a new 1

I should add this is not bull anyone in sa who rides quads would know or have met this this certain guy who is american, are they a good bike i dont know but this 1 is a piece of sh!t

Just curious, what nationality was he when he bought his Raptor 350? Japanese?

I suggest read some reviews then try to borrow one form a friend then assess if it really fits your needs.
