Hey Outlaw we do heaps of riding in the Brindies. There are more Rangers around then Cops but you have to know where to ride. I did own a 700 Raptor but now own a banshee just for the dunes in newcastle. My partner owns a KFX 700 and I ride a KTM 525 exc we are up there all the time and I know the place like my own back yard more than happy to met ya for a ride or go to the dunes (now thats fun).

| Thanks mate. I am thinking of parking at a secret spot of mine at murrays corner if you know where that is and riding a few tracks on the eastern side of paddys river, then maybe go for a blast through pierces creek around vanity's crossing. is this a silly idea? it isnt national park.. |

Not a good idear Outlaw thats where most of the rangers and Cops hang out. You want to be on the Weejasper side Flee Creek, Mackentyres hut etc.
we have a secret spot up on the dirt road to Weejasper then you can sneek in the backdoor to the best part of the Brindies your ridding around the pine plantations or where thay used to be before thay got cut down. In my secret spot if you get chased you can usually lose them long before you get back to your car. See what thay do is thay go around feelling your bonet to see how hot you car is then thay decide weather thay will stay or come back later and catch you in the act. The main thing is is to have your car in a good location so it can not be spoted. We park on the edge of the Brindies not like some dumb idiots that park right in the middle out in the open. I have been riding up there since 1985 and have only been chased twice once on a bike and once on a quad. Drop me a PM if you want to go for a look.

| Thanks guys for your advice. Raptor - i went to Curries road which is off brindabella road and parked under a tree and went for a blast. It was a good spot, and the trails were great for a beginner. saw some other guys on unregistered trail bikes, so it must be the norm. The Outlaw is tough. the power is great, and the suspension is awesome, i cleared some rocks that looked like boulders, and didnt come close to scraping anything. On some of the more open bits of track i opened her right up, and it really flies. very easy to pull the front two up into the air as well. Donuts are easy to pull as well.. had a great time. |
