I was recently contacted via email about the sale of my quad. The person called himself matt jean. And said he would pay the asking price and wanted to pay through paypal. After i made a paypal account, he said he wanted me to send $950 through western union to his shipping agent in the UK. this was all backed up with fake paypal emails from people claiming to be chairmen and managing director of paypal. after i told them i do not hav $950 "paypal" told me if i do not hav the money, borrow it from a friend or relative who does.... Beware if your selling anything as they do not care what it is the way they get your money is through this western union claiming they well re-emberse you once the paymetn is recieved.

this happened to me when i was selling my forester.
3 different names were used on couple diff occasions.
there some bad people out there |

im confused as tyo why ask you to pay them money when they are wanting to buy your quad??
as for paypal hmm when ya make a account to use it for sale use you only pay when you go to take money out to put in your own bank account and only a percentage
if using for buying use they (paypal) put a amount into your personal bank a cents amount and you have to put that amount in to activate your account

| Just don`t do anything using western union at all unless its family.....then there still should be another way..... |

Yep, if you advertise online expect to get an email from an enthusiastic person offering to buy !.... and theyre either at sea or off shore, makes it very hard to answer all emails with enthusiasm when you are second guessing that the email your answering is another prospective scammer.
I just say Payment terms- Cash on collection- thats the only option !
