What do you guys consider too hot to go riding? I went for a ride this arvo with a mate but it was just too hot. Also the danger of grass catching on fire from your exhaust. In the shade it was about 35 here but dad sat the metal thermometre out in the sun and it read 49 degrees. _________________ "If in doubt go flat out"

We ride all year round but our start times get earlier as the temperature increases. Temperatures now here are up in the mid to low fourties so we kick off at 8 on Sunday mornings and finish up about lunchtime. At the height of summer temperatures reach the mid fifties up here regularly so we always make sure we are back home and in the pool by mid morning. _________________ I'm not suffering from insanity, I'm enjoying it!!! |

the place where i normally ride gets to mid 30's in summer, and sometimes spikes to mid 40's but theres normally a breeze. i get off my bike by about 11am because after that its just to hot. jump back on it at around 5pm and keep riding till late _________________ "Back up Bug!" |

personally i dont take heat in as a factor...if your loaded up with fluids its fine....riding in hot weather 2 me mean usually riding in dry, dusty conditions & it gets 2 a point where u just dont enjoy it....if it was a stinking hot day but there was plenty of water out on the trails id go out, doesnt happen like that in VIC based on what iv seen in 7yrs....Northern rivers NSW or QLD would b fine, i lived in QLD 4 some yrs & hot days while/after a storm had rolled in & dumped a heap of rain made 4 fun times....thats the reason y u dont hear much out of the VIC riders (trail) during the summer because we tend 2 clean our bikes up, throw them in the shed until it gets wet again _________________ 04 TRX 450r
