in 12 months i am ready for my starter clutch to be replaced again , probably going to cost around $1000.00 dollars to have done, using a genuine yamaha one.
i was on ebay the other night and have found a starter clutch for more than half the price of a genuine yamaha one, and comes with a life time warranty. they guarantee youll never replace it again.
so for all you 660 raptor owners with this problem, there is now a god.
here is the link.http://www.raptorstarterclutch.com/installation.htm

yeah i had to get mine done when i first bought it too. but just had to fix 2nd gear up and had to pull engine down to do it, problem now is the engine has got all its compression back and now has worn out the starter clutch. i was contemplating on dropping the compession ratio to make it easier on the starter , but i will try getting the starter clutch from these guys and see how i go.
