Just read the article in atv action.Sounds like it was an awesome weekend.
How often do these guys have these rides and does anyone have any pics ? Interested to hear the opinions of those went.

We are planning on doing 3 of their rides this year and any quad guy's interested would be more than welcome. Here is the email I was sent with the information:

Hi Mick,
got some dates here for you,, they have not been finalised as yet in two weeks il get back you with the definate dates.,, but as Mick(broken Hill) just said these dates are near enough to spot on and he said they may go a week either way but generally this is it.

we just spoke about the best rides, and thought that these rides would be the better of the lot for you guys to as far as plenty of variety in terrain and all round best entertainment value..there is a couple more rides that il send you the dates for anyway but these are bigger distances ,one in particular is the CAMERONS CORNER RIDE which is a 3 day return all day high speed run along the dog fence and back around, normally june long wknd, my two strker dont like that one.. 4 strokes love it!

PINE VIEW RIDE(salt lake ride i mentioned earlier)
20-21 May
covers similar distance to the anabranch

BROKEN BAR RIDE
29-30 July (similar distance again)
we ride from sunset strip in the morning(80k south/east from bh) and meet up with the blokes from Cobar at a property called 'Bushley' which is about 50k past Wilcannia, about an equal distance for both parties, then night begins, the night turns in a 'olympics' night with all types Sports which ranges from shot-put (throwing the bottom end of and old ts engine around the camp) to drinking games through to keg rolling comps and slalom on bikes,. and ramps jumping fires on and all this kind of "profanity removed", one year they host the games then we host it the next year and so forth with the winner taking home the "BROKEN BAR"trophy(literally a pair of broken bars mounted on a block frame complete with plaque) for the year,.., a very humourous night,,so as much support with numbers of riders on our side is of a definate advantage!

Then the ANABRANCH RIDE
which is always the first wnkd in NOVEMBER
So the 3-4 NOVEMBER 07
you seen the itinery for this one first hand except more lights more witches hats a chainsaw and no doubt more laughing this year..

well i hope this is of some use for now, as i said these are the dates that the rides ran this year but it will be near spot on again this year coming..
il get you the final dates once its on paper.

Thanks for the info Mick.Keep us posted on dates ,rides etc.The salt lake ride sounds like the go.I'll start working on the warden for a leave pass.
Hopefully I can get my mate on his ex enthused.
