just chasing some tips on best way to remove the spark arrestor on my new toy before I go on in and break something. I have heard they can be a bit tricky to get out. Again any help is greatly appreciated.
Dont think the Wife will let me splash on repair or new pipe just yet.lol

on the end of your muffler (silver tip) there will be a hole on the under side with i think a allen key bolt head. take that out and then grab some multi grips and yank the spark arrester out and presto Very Happy if you dammage the muffler pulling it out you pulling thewrong thing out LOL

P.S. you may need to give it a good pull for it to come out . (the spark arrester that is ) laughing laughing

It helps if you let the bike run for a bit to heat the exhaust up a little too.

These are an easy removal as per instructions, I removed mine in the matter of minutes and made a big difference laughing

Pull the spark arrestor, remove yor airbox lid, and get yourself a fuel controller. This will dramatically improve the performance of the big girl and it won't cost you a great deal.

Just took the air box lid off and took the spark arrestor out, geez it's loud now!! HAvn't ridden it properly yet but hopefully it makes a difference, does having the air box lid removed cause any trouble with water, ie: river crossings?

you can ride with the spark arestor out but you should not be riding your bike with the air box lid removed if you dont have a dyno jet comp or simular brand fitted to your bike for you will start to lean the fuel mixture out and that wont end well Surprised

So just removing the spark arrestor should lean out mixtures too much to cause damage.
I've heard the raptors run on the borderline of A/F ratios as stock. Is that correct?
