Well with Chris Brenton in hospital with a broken leg, I only thought it fair to let everyone know that SA's top pro rider is also in hospital about to go under the knife due to a broken heel bone from last Saturday night's stadium mx in Murray Bridge. Also, Brett from Vic who came over for the race drove home with a wrist broken in 3 places and is currently recovering back home after becoming a little heavier thanks to some trick internal body hardwear as well. They say these things happen in 3's, so it looks like that's the 3 already out of the way for the year now guy's, so don't hold back...you will all be fine now.
Hope you are all back riding soon.

Definitely a good event, I had a lot of fun. Huge crowd, quality field of riders and well set out track. Bit of a pity the organisers were so keen to bust out the water truck but who's complaining.
Well done Smitty on some smooth consistent riding, especially when things got slippery.
Here's hoping Howie, Brett C and Chris B all have speedy recoverys. |

I just got off the phone with Howie. The swelling in his ankle is slowly going down, but they are holding off from doing the surgery until Monday. Sounds like he will be in a bit of pain for a few months yet, but he is already talking about trail rides and enduros and stuff as a way to get fit again, so it won't be long and he will be back on a quad. He now has a wheelchair with a board on it to keep his leg up, and he has been cutting laps through the hospital, down the lift, around the carpark and back to his room, and I am happy to say, his lap times are improving. That's Howie for you.
