Hi all
I have been looking at TGB quads, but I noticed a small amount of left right play in the steering (maybe it was just on the test model).
Can anyone tell me if this is normal with their quads, or is it a TGB design problem? |

Most steering systems i've seen have the tiniest click when wriggling the bars from left to right.
The tie rod ends themselves need some clearance to operate without friction, so by the time you add up a few 0.1's of millimeters it could be 3 or 4 mm at the end of the handlebars.
Some brands and styles of joints are better than others, but that much would be normal.
If you've got half an inch of play at the bars without the front wheels moving...
You'd better start looking around.
Some cheaper brands seem to have more trouble with loose tie rod end nuts.
The split pin might still be there, but the shaft is loose in the hole and the nut is loose.
easy to check. _________________ Can-Am X Team
