Thinking of upgrading anybody got any advise.
Starting to take kids out a lot more, are the longer max's harder on a trail?? I flick the tail end out quite easily at the moment for tight spots wondering if the max feels much longer??
Have almost made up my mind but some feedback would be great

Cheers Mike

A mat of mine has one, cant fault it myself, mind you watch the kill switch though, (they dont like being full of mud) Very Happy But length wise, its not a issue at all, on the real tight stuff yeah, it'll be a pain but who doesnt get stuck and have to reverse a bit to get around a obstacle once or twice a ride. Very Happy

Mike i have a 650 max and love it, the impact of the extra wheelbase is minimal in he bush and a real bonus when the speed gets up and you are sliding. the power steering is briliant

Ours is a long wheel base..... Very Happy
Rides better and is safer uphill and down hill.
Go for it.

I rode a 650 Max from Atherton to the tip of Cape York a couple of years ago and didn't want to give it back. Over 2000km in just over a week. I swapped for a standard single seat 800 for about 5 minutes and begged for my Max back. Loved it.

I think the difference in length between a standard Outlander & a Max is 200mm. I would go a max for the advantage in hill climbing over standard!

Go easy putting it on top of the camper. You may end up on top the wagon Laughing

I was pretty impressed with the Max and would have got one if the Rincon hadn't come along

I took one out a few years back when they were first introduced an my wife didn't like it. She felt the riding position for her was insecure. She's a short one, 5'2" - 155cm. Felt like she couldn't get her footing on it. A couple of the bigger guys I ride with (140kg +) like the extra room and riding position. They do complain that the longer wheelbase is noticeable on the whoops and smaller cross ditches we have on many of our trails in my area. All the Can Am riders I know love their machines. Not familiar with the riding in Oz so the above info may be useless to you. Good Canadian machine now built in Mexico. laughing
