Fantastic I can see the formation of the SUV club Aust coming together soon if we can get an inaugural ride and meeting set up!

Be sure to publish the pics of your first ride (and roll in my case)

Maybe we should look at a bulk entry into one of the longer public rides, either the Cape York or Tasmania rides are available.

Haven't got any photos but have a heap of video. Just have to find the time to shrink it down and upload it.

Hey geeman,

I was wondering if you had any comments on the 1/2 windscreen? I just ordered one from Polaris and I hope it's worth it. I mainly got one because I noticed the shape of the nose tends to blast the wind, dust and debris directly into your face.
I am also ordering a Pro Armor bumper direct in case anyone wants something as the freight is a killer. Also purchased a HID upgrade kit for the headlights, $85.00 off eBay, will let you know how that goes.

Cheers, Greg

Have the half windsreen and full plastic top and they are both good. I have the roof off for the moment but the windscreen I found very effective, but when I intend going flat out I wear helmet and glasses anyway.

I intend a little hunting so I was going to take it off and leave it off but hearing your feedback I may look at ways around that.

for add ons cant beat this www.polarisrzrheadquarters.com

Im ordering a bumper and skid plates & a-arms protectors for now. Its got the works. need to hind some good gear to carry.

We need a club! Smile

Heah, they are pretty good for hunting, a mate and I did a fair bit last week on the trip and its great for just creeping along quietly. Actually I decided after that to leave the stock exhaust on to keep the noise down. Definately need light upgrades though, I am mounting 4 x Hella Rallye 4000 compacts converted to 35w 6000k HID's on the roll cage plus the converted headlights.

You upgrading the battery? Kits and advice per above website and related msg board. I they seemed to think it was worthwhile on the std even if you started to do the light bar module and assuming you'd use the cigarette lighter accessories.

I had seen a actual "silenced" pipe on the website too about a month ago but its disappeared for the moment, as I do find mine a little louder than my mates ag quads but that was to be expected.

Had a look at the turbo kits?? Tempted??

May look at the Koplin front bonnet hard pack as well if the price is discounted one day.

I was wondering if the guys with SUVs (SxS or Sports Utility Vehicles) would like to get together at either a ride like this, (There is rides now promoted at Cape York, WA, NSW and Tas) with the intention of bringing everyones machinery out for a run and a look and also with the intention of forming the Australian SUV club or whatever we call it.

There is also the sandfest ride coming up on the Vic SA border where the NSW guys can get traight down the Freeway.Hwy to Adelaide on (see details in Vic section or havent checked SA section yet but 30th Oct to 3rd Nov - Melb cup w/e)

Can everyone post if they have such a machine and if they;d be interested? PM anyone you know to comment I'll start a thread.

Cheers guys Wink

I think a club would be great but it's difficult when I am in Brisbane and others are spread around the country.

PS: I found a few more photos on my mates mobile so I put them up.

Well the social ride might be in NSW each year if thats the middle ground. Check the Rides section I think about 5th down is headed - Anyone been on this?

Seems like a good ride, lets take a long w/e and get there.

See the Thread I opened on it with a poll and if you like the idea lets worry about the logistics of what it means later as I have even put several options in the poll.

Cheers

Hey Mr V8 - nice RZR. I also looked at one of these but decided to go with the rhino instead mainly because I liked the size of the tray and the primary use will be for the missus down on the ranch.

Anyway - I believe that you must live around the Brisbane area, are you thinking of going to any of the social rides that the QQR are holding at Manar? If so, let me know as I might come out for the weekend.

Cheers

Yes I have considered going on one of the rides, I used to be a member of the QQRA back in the Jaden days but they were more MX orientated which didn't interest me (still a great group). I am planning a trip to Manar soon with a few friends, looking forward to checking it out. I mainly ride out at a property near Inglewood/Texas. Anyway, keep me informed.

Cheers,

Greg

I have just bought 130 acres which we are going to set up with some different styles of tracks - motorcross, enduro style, kids track and some rock crawling tracks for me other toy

just gotta leave some room so the missus can have a chook pen hahaha

Thanks for the comments - solo ........ maybe - just finshed putting the gearbox back in - the lexus V8 in it has been giving the clutch some curry since we competed in tuff truck this year - but will sort this by an auto box.

As for the yfz scarring the chooks - that is why I bought the missus a rhino hahaha

me brother going to get some cans of solo laughing

anyone thinking of going to manar in October with the club?

Cheers

Well .......... picked up the missus Rhino last Friday. All I can say is that those RZR must go like the #$@#@@@##(*%*$(@ as it took me a while to wipe the grin from me face after doing a couple of laps around the ranch. The rhino needs to have some extra width and the speed limiter adjusted - have ordered some parts to fix this.

Hey Greg - have you confirmed the dates when you are going to Manar as I would be interested in comparing the RZR with the rhino as I think that I will be buying another one - that way the missus will get to use hers and wont complain about the scratches hahaha

Cheers

Looks like we are going on the 16th-18th of October, see how that fits in for you.

Cheers,

Greg

PS: Do yourself a favor and drive a RZR before you buy another Rhino laughing

Hey Greg - haven't got anything organised for that weekend.
Might come for a drive over and stay Saturday night.
Should be able to muster up some other four wheel clowns from here.
