hi
just wondering if its alright to ride my stock appy 700 with the air box lid off.

Mine gets very dirty with the lid on, but i ride in dusty areas. I would up grade to a better filter. Not worth getting dust in your motor for no gain at all _________________ Ride hard, but ride safe.

Just be aware that this will increase your air intake. The Raptor runs pretty lean straight from the factory as it is already. The advice I was given when I first started modding mine, was to remove the airbox lid and the spark arrestor to increase air flow but also to purchase a fuel controller to ensure your A/F mix was correct. This simple mod does make quiet a difference. _________________ I'm not suffering from insanity, I'm enjoying it!!! |
