I agree with X-Factor1; if we put our heads together we can definately take this ride around australia. Passing a baton from state-to-state would have so much more signifigance and meaning.
From a logical point of view it would be easier on the Rta & Coppers etc. to follow 1 group of ppl around Oz rather than having to worry about a bunch of burly quad riders inundating politician city all at once. And as for getting time off work, it's a year away and the people who are really keen about this will make the effort to put in for time off work. _________________ go hard or go home |

well that says it all we shall be going around oz someone had to make a desission that is what i have registered , for, so guys get your selfs ready for a ride, i ask for help from each state to organise permits .I got a message from the police and we should hear this week in regards to riding through NSW. is there someone in each other state that can start asking about riding in their state.
I think we need a spokes person in each state can this be sorted is there any hand going up ??? post it on the forum
Thanks

Hi Guys, Hoody has asked me to cut and post this from QPS...

Neil,
Thanks for being so patient.
Unfortunately this email is not bringing you good news.
A man from Istanbul is currently in the planning stages of riding a Quad around the world for charity. This is the previous contact that I was eluding to in our talk this afternoon. He has received no permits from any jurisdiction in Australia.
Queensland Transport are the people to contact in relation to your request.

I'm sure Hoody can shed more light on this hiccup when he logs on.
If you don’t get permission from Transport Departments maybe you could try a major stock route off road. But that takes you away from the population. _________________ Remember. We elect politicians, but we have to deal with bureaucracy.

let me start by saying thanks to Dino for posting these threads for me . well as you can see that i have been knocked back on a permit for QLD, I am still waiting for word back from NSW ---RTA ,saying that if it does not come through we may have to look at all meeting up at Camarons Corner there may be a conflict as i know that Les Jensen from Aussie Quad Adventures Offroad Challange is doing a run out there in in july and i have to show loyalty to his business and not take riders away from his trip /[business] . so i ask you fellow rider for suggestions , If anyone is asking about the tele conference that we were suppose to have had well it didnt happen the fellow forum reader said that he would put up the number but it didnt happen
So on closing i would like to say thankyou for your support and future thoughts.

well why not steal a leaf from the national tea break fund raiser, so why not hold a trail ride in each state and all particapants can donate so much per kilometre ? the VQTRA is holding a trail ride real soon and is now its going to be a fundraiser... so if your coming along and you know who you are be prepared to make a donation. _________________ 2005 KFX700

In Qld we could do the run from Noosa to Rainbow beach via Double Island Point.
This has been done before .
[ Read about it in atv action mag.]
Just an idea !!!!

Hey Guys we seem to be shooting off in all directions ? Lets focus on one step at a time. What is the key issue that is blocking all of this happening? we need to get in contact and unite all clubs no matter the issues and solve problems together. _________________ Darren Colbert

I cant promise any thing, but if you could bring the ride down the East coast of Victoria, I can talk to the Big Wigs from 4'n'20 to maybe lay down some sponsorship? And I would be interested in doing a leg of the Victorian part! _________________ KTM 450XC!!!WHAT MORE CAN I SAY!!!!!! |
