Does look really good Barney. You will have to tell that bloke you had a "discussion" with at the TP300 drags about Grizzly's VS Outlanders that you have come across to his side. Laughing
Hope it goes good for you.

Thanks Yogie

Its amazing how two machines can be so alike as in the big bore side of things, first thing in noticed was the harshness of the can am when it engages the clutch mechanism, second was the brakes , they are very hard in application force needed to apply. and only a single lever , no individual front and rear .

The instrumentation is excellent , very clear and large in display, the seat is not as plush as the grizzly but the ride form the can am is better.

The access to the battery is easy , but it is in a "profanity removed" of a place, the jap bikes also i think are finished off a little better in regards to there plastics and gapping of them.

The ability to have accesories leaves most jap bikes for dead.

I was looking to upgrade my grizzly to maybe another of the same , but was dissapointed in yamaha in not having a larger engine available, i also looked at the brute force only to be left with to many unanswered questions as to when the power steering model would be available in oz.

I also looked at polaris , and was totally disgusted with the service , or lack of from the dealer in ballarat , i had to make 4 return calls to the dealer to and even the manager to get a simple price , and that was after having to be firm in the request of saying i am in the market for a new quad and i would take my business elsewhere.

I Looked at the can am and even though they have some features and attributes i would find hard to accept, i was left at a point that the can am was the best machine available to do the things i require.

I dealt with David and the other guys at Colac Motorcycles and as i have bought parts from them in the past i have found them only to be to happy to assist.

I was very happy with the deal offered and found it hard to refuse a $1000.00 factory cash back followed by a 3 year warranty, David and his team was only to happy to assist in any helpful hints and problems that may occur and gave me some simple but effective maintainance hints.

All in all i am very happy with my purchase and i hope the some other manafacturers would take a look at the can am , they have a very good engine which developes planty of grunt , but every brand or make has things for and against it.

This little write up is by no means a ad for any brand and or dealer but simply a thanks to those who helped with a very hard decision.

Once again thanks dave and your team you are highly recommended

What sort of top speed are you looking at standard with that? Would be a fair bit higher than the Grizz wouldn't it?

when the riding is over the maintenance begins... I do love the bike. I had an annoying rattle at about 4000 to 4500 rpm! Dion and I took it apart and we seem to have cured it... I hope!

I cleaned the plastic with terps. Sprayed the plastic with plastic primer and then a number if coats of the same paint the DoD use on their equipment/vehicles which is available from a place called Protec here in Brissie...
