I remember, years ago, they had an MX display on the foreshore. I think It was the Frankston club. They erected some wooden ramps and made a bit of a track. It went down really well.
The Oakligh Kart club also made a track with hay bails one year on the Bitchy down at the foreshore.
I also remember there was an RM 80 sitting in the middle of the track. Some blokes friends told him that is was OK to take it for a ride. He walked out and jumped on it, started it, opened the throttle and flipped it. Guys from the club were running at him from all directions.
Another year, They had a full size SS Monaro remote controlled car. It lost signal and it went into the crowd at about 80ks.It hit the crowd right next to me and broke my Mates ribs. Plus it stopped on top of a girl. We all had to lift it off her.

Awsome guys. I mite start a new thread as soon as they send me some more info in regards to dates etc. Willow, I remember that remote "Killer Car" myself, thankfully I was on the otherside of where it happened. I remember everyony running to help others. I saw a vidio of it somewhere about 3-4 years ago on a show (like Funniest home vids) or something. Would love to see that again. The club that had the track down on the foreshore was the "Hastings Blue Light MC". Im thinking of contacting them to see if they would be interested in doing something with us.

Sorry guys,
I have been layed up in hospital with Phunomia and plurasy on my lungs I also coped a secondary infection that they still dont know what it was.
I will get onto the woman that I organised it through last year and get things rolling. About the only thing we realy need is some kind of insurance pollicy. Last year I didnt need to show them (I bluffed my way through) I dont know if we could do this again though. Any ideas guys.

Sorry to hear you've been crook.....
Re this insurance. 
If you guys are only parading, it should be easy enough to get a cover note or similar. Some insurance jock ( or jocket ) recently joined the forum. I'm sure they'd love to help! 
Should you guys be performing in any way, the "what if " clauses are pretty well stacked to ensure the insurer is well reimbursed for even knowing you guys.
Either way, give the new dude a call and see if he can't help, even with advise, and go from there. His avatar was whyinsure I think. Good luck.

Sorry for the short notice guys. Just had a phone call from the woman who does all the organising for it and she had a cancelation just this morning, so we got their spot in the parade. At this stage I dont have all the details (she promised them to me by this arvo ( Thurs 18th) so as soon as I get them I will post details of it all. So far I have , Me, my wife, son & ?????
I know a few are keen so if anyone wants to come let me know.
If you have to travel some distance and want to stay over, we have a couple of spare rooms, couches etc on 100 acres in Balnarring ( about ten mins. from Hastings) if your keen. Would be great to finaly meet some of the forum rats,,,,lol

Hi guys.
Just got all the info.
Date: Saturday 27.2.10
Cost: Free!!!
Assembly Point: Frankston/Flinders Rd in the Service road off of Reid Parade
(I will send better info to those comming, PM me your mobile No's)
Arrival: All entrants to be in position no later than 11.40 am
Parade Start 12.20 pm
Judging: Will be done during the parade
Route: Hastings High St from the railway crossing to the foreshore.
Duration: Approximately 45 minutes.

OK, so far we have for sure, Me, my wife (hopefully we will get her bike back running) my son and a few others that are saying they may come. Unfortunatly due to me being in hospital recently things didnt get organised early enough. What the organisers had done was to have a track built on the forshore with approval from the shire council for us and others to do demos on. BUT, the company that had offered to buil it pulled out. 
So what we are left with is: The parade on Sat. 27th then we can park our quads down on the foreshore with all the hot rods and show cars if we want. I know it isnt much but they have promised that next year they will be having a track built for us. I also know its a long way for people to travel just to ride down the main St, BUT it was heaps of fun last year and there was only the three of us then.
Any way if you can make it, please do so.
Please let me know if you are going to come (for sure, not maybe)

im stil trying to be there just waiting to see whats happening with work as when i work friday nights i dont usually finish until about 10 in the morning on saturday and have to drive from melton down to hastings so im tryig to get out of work tonight to be there.do u have many people coming?
