WE RIDE NEAR LAKE TORRENS IN THE MIDNORTH OF S.A.
you can travel days and days on tracks ,sand hills, rocks weve got it all .and when it rains,thats when you have some fun .mud mud and more mud .thats what a 4x4 is for getting down and dirty.

Got my little timberwolf and a grizzly bogged on one section of lake torrens for two nights one trip when we broke through the crust and ended up having to walk back to Andamookah to raise a rescue party. Great country for riding all around Roxby Downs, especially after rain when the mud flats flood.

Believe it or not, we used a bunch of ply sheeting from work to stand on, hauled the rear wheels out and placing one ply sheet in front of another, slowly idled the bikes to solid ground. The salt lakes are pretty much bottomless when you break through the surface crust if there is moisture underneath. It was an experience I will never forget and eventually cost us all of our swags and bedding and most of our recovery gear trying to get the bikes out. Worst part was that it all happened within the first couple of hours of what was supposed to be a weekend long camping trip and the girls had dropped us all off so we had no transport.
