Or Commander 1000X's?
Oh, I just re-read your post and if you will have new ones by April, they will probably not be Commander 1000X's, unless you have already ordered them. They have more orders on at the moment than they can get stock in. We can't even get one yet to race in X-Team! Looking forward to it though.

XP's Mick. Polaris also have a bit of a supply issue owing to the huge response to the XP and stock is hard to come by. At this stage we really are only planning to have them ready for Cliffhanger in July, but we will run under a handicapp to make it fair (just like I have with my Turbo S). Its not the winning we are interested in, as a dealer I just want to see more bums in seats having fun which will hopefully grow our sales. Its as simple as that.
Phil
PS, For sale 1x very trick Turbo S. (Our other racing one has sold) |

Chris,
Do you think you will be peeling your butt off the couch long enough to make an appearance at The Springs event? Adam and I are giving it a go, but the organiser wasn’t sure if there will be a SXS class as there hadn’t been any “official” entries yet. Frankly, it’s a good opportunity to have a drink (water ) and a bit of fun (rolling ). _________________ 2012 Polaris RZR XP Turbo

Will put this here as well, please help if your in QLD and want your sport to grow.
This is more of a demonstration event to get the sport out there, and so the general public get to see something different, it will be run by Dave Metcalfe from Extreme 4x4 Sport over the weekend and some prizes supplied by Massojet for the competitors to go home with something other than a plastic trophy!!!
Will run stages during the 3 days on the track which has all the usual bike jumps plus rock walls, pipe mound, bog hole, creek crossing, log bridge and will not be timed but put up against each other and first one across the line wins. So it should be fun for you. Also you get access to Farm Fantastic the largest outdoor expo with 800 sites. Caboolture is about 30 minutes drive north of Brisbane.
Still looking for people to come and have some fun and race over the weekend, if you own a SXS and are interested please call me on 0458122237, only have a couple interested so far.
This is disappointing as a sponsor, given so many of you complain about not being enough events to compete in and with up to 40,000 spectators. Don’t make me give it up to Quads or bikes I have until Sunday to get the numbers and need at least 6 to make it a good promo. |

Sorry I have been so long giving an update on this event at Cobar, just had a busy few weeks. All in all the 3 XP's that competed absolutely amazed the 4x4 drivers and spectators with what they could do. We more than matched the big trucks, especially on the speed stages with one 15km ralley stage over rough rocky tracks really proving the capabilities of the XP's. On this stage all of us finished within 100th of a second of each other, but where still 20 seconds faster than the fastest twin turbo V8 4x4 truck with all of us hitting a top speed of around 110km/h. One night time navigation stage took over 3 hours of sandy river high speed and cross paddock bush basing driving which we all finished well after midnight purely relying on our GPS.
Below is a link to some photos if your interested.

And stay tuned we may have some very promising news about the future of SXS racing in the months to come.

Hey Phil,
My connections told me that the XP's put on a good show and the only area which they did poorly on was the winch sections, which would be expected as your not running 12K winches like some of the purpose built trucks. I even heard that some of the big 4wd guys were complaining about even allowing the XP's race in the same event - bring it on hahaha.
I am just glad the Aaron is not racing the 800's any more in the short courses up here ...... hahahah

Yep, motorsport brings out the competitiveness in everyone and that of course also leads to some having a whinge......and its usually by the guys that are not doing real well anyway so we take no notice. It was made very clear from the beginning that we were an experimental class running in our own catagory. As usual some of the competitiors looked on us as a bit of a joke......after several days many wanted to know how much they were and how can they get hold of one. Having built 3 full size 4x4 comp trucks in the last few years I know what it really costs to compete vs what you can do it for in a good SXS. I think the fact that some of these guys have spent over 100k and we were able to go out there and show them up on many of the stages probably hurts deep down lol.
One of my mechanics here who came 5th at Cliffhanger last year and won round 3 of the Xtreme Winch Challenge has his truck up for sale and is buying a RZR (a week sitting next to Cody at this event helped here too). And a very well known TUFF Truck competitor went for a test run with us last weekend and I can tell you all his big trucks are now up for sale.....he is buying an RZR and is getting into the sport....it will take a few years but give it time and SXS sport should be healthy.
