you cannot compare a grizzly to an 800 renegade X ones a farm bike and the other you race.Everyone has there own preference ,colours engine size etc and the end of the day buy the bike that you like and is in the budget for you. every bike has different problems like bending frames etc i have bought a new renegade frame from the states and i have also replaced a whole front end ripped off a grizzly so i know the dramas with these bikes and if you dont hit trees you dont bend or break things its that simple. i prefer canam Renegades because they are a 4wd race bike that you can go anywhere and jump almost anything. No other 4wd Quad comes close they are like the Polaris razor s is in SxS. .........
H u s k y here husky... come on heres a canam story your computer will pick up on lol

Check out either march or april's edition of dirt wheels magazine and read the report on who they voted to be the best all round quad for value and money , it was voted as the best all round quad based upon many attributes.

No matter what you do or how you ride you wil never find one machine that will do it all in the way you would like

I stand corrected it was the jan issue , and it voted the grizzly 700 as the best all round , and that was on all aspects of it , it also stated that it was not the most powerful , but it was judged on overall package and price, so before anyone passes judgement as we all have our own thoughts , it is the views of the magazine , after they done a big bore shootout.

Dont get me wrong im not bagging the grizzly and they are obviously the best allround package for price and package . If you compare say the Canam X stock bike vs Grizzzly stock bike then add suspension , pipe fuel map and tyres and rims would it not be more expensive than Canam.

So if the shootout was done on overall value for money the grizzly would win because it meets the greater target audience and here in the NT its used extensively by everyone who has a gun and loves pig shooting and Yes it won the Kamfari to (canam won hole shot and first 2 laps till tyre got ripped off )people buy bikes that suit their own requirements and the grizzly is an excellent bike that suits a larger range of people so that equals more sales but if you let a grizzly rider ride a renegade they get converted pretty easily(Done that a few times at Gunn Point.)

So going on above results Grizzly 2 and Canam 1 probably not reflected in sales but both great bikes just different target markets

I have ridden the renegade and yes it is a great machine , i also own 3 bombardier quads , the renegade does not fill my needs as far as an allrounder simply becuase i need racks , and it could be fixed by makin em , but thats not what i want , all quads are great any brand , it just depends on the application, hence the reason why i own 3 bombas , and nothing else would do what i ask them to do , it is all up to the individual.

your right about target markets, where I trail ride, you'll rarley if ever see a renagade, just not suited at the end of the day, there are few 800 outlanders but lets face it, the 650 will beat the grizz in power any day of the week, but the grizz suits the tracks I ride, would I buy one, nope only because its motor is NOT a Vtwin, and thats what I would look for in a 4x4. Very Happy

Your right Yogie , When we go riding up here all you ever see is Grizzly, and Honda 500's realiable go anywhere quads,no real issues they go anywhere (Hondas go under water ) and the people riding just cruise along Enjoying the ride and catching up with mates .

We all could argue about this bike and that bike but at the end of the day we all go riding because we enjoy it. Husky and i always argue about canams ect but we still go racing together (he makes me sit in the back of ute) lol no not really. Riding is good fun and who cares what bike you have as long as you are happy with it .
