From July 1st 2006 All Juniors will need to complete 5 hours of Coaching before obtaining their First race licence.

Effectively this will cut out all Juniors from being able to use the current system of 1 event licenses.


Please be aware if you are looking at doing the Nationals and havent got your National Competition Licence, you will be waiting for a club and coach to allocate time for you and others to receive your 5 hours of coaching before you can receive your Licence.

Theres a few weeks left of June..... use it wisely

Also, its a good idea to get some Quad seniors accredited through the Coaching system to be able to help the kids out.{contact your state MA office}
From Jan 1 2007, renewals will also need to show their log books, showing they have done 5 hours of coaching. 5 hours of coaching will also need to be logged to upgrade from 50cc to 90cc.... and 90cc to 200cc

I cant recall what the name of the committe is... Junior Safety Commission or something like that...
All to do with deaths in junior MX, I guess MA had to come up with some risk managment to show they are doing something about it.
I think our club is looking at doing a Saturday Morning 5 hour course including a BBQ at the end of it,and some video work as well, and of course lots of riding and instruction. 5 hours will fly past.

Junior coaching thing is national.
SA is aware of it and we need to plan a similar thing over here.
We have 2 coaches in our club, including myself.
Come on guy's, go out and get your coaching license and help out. It's all for the safety of our junior riders after all.

40ft container from syd freight terminal to wanneroo mx complex and return is $8.359 . would have to pack a few quads in to keep costs down.dont know how many quads fit in a 40footer as inside dimensions are 11.9 by 2.3 m. still have other options to look at yet keep you posted.

so its about $500 each. if you work off 16 quads.
