I'm with you Fossil:-
Lets get this meeting organised SOON.
We are loosing momentum again.
Would anyone be keen to ride in the Hastings Festivle Perade.
Its on the 22 or 23 Feb I think. It could be a good way of getting seen. I will supply some Banners etc. I will make some inquiries if anyone is keen.
I will also post a new thread on this matter.
Cheers...Rosco _________________ Mine:- 2008 700 Raptor

Regarding the last paragraph, yeah total safety because of no access whatsoever.
I notice theres no mention of the fact that thier safety data is outdated & only addresses agricultural use.
Just curious, what are the ADR's with which we do not comply ?
Maybe it's as simple as bolting a dummy steering wheel to the handlebars..hahaha, sorry just kidding around. _________________ The term "Foolproof" seriously underestimates the ingenuity of Fools.

No oz, I never rejoined, pretty much could see no point, once the trail riding side stopped. And lets face it I'll never be a racer... _________________ 2005 KFX700

hmmm no point ..... hence reason why we have racing members as they have members who are in there WILLING TO ORGANIZE THINGS maybe the trail riders need to band together and do the same no use complaining it is a known fact clubs of anything are only as strong as there membership base ...... just my 2 cents worth as i always see alot of the rec riding debate here but noone wants to take any of the work or responsibilities it seems and do look at me as im a racer lol _________________ black covered in 5.7 powered oversize quad

yeah your right, and to be honest the club doesnt realy need trail riders, and its a good club, i was only in it 2-3 yearsbut it served me well, and I like to think what I put back into the club wasnt all that bad. And the rec riding debate i fell is nessesary, would happen if the club moved away from racing for eg, it would mean a lot of the racers would have to step up to the plate and do somthing. And me and the guys i ride with we had a "profanity removed" load of weekends away last year, not hard to arrange, just set a few ground ruls and you cant go wrong. But if the qrcv had a enduro season.... _________________ 2005 KFX700

Has anyone though about taking this to the Anti discrimination board?
Sounds like a group of people are being discriminated against here.
ph: 9628 9900 It couldn't hurt to try.

It is a disgrace that our state govt gets away with not letting us register quads as rec rego.
I made similiar comments to Roger Pitt at the DFSE about the fact that they permit a 20 year old dunger of a bike to be road registered but a brand new rmx450 with superior hanlding and disc brakes is not peremitted (other than rec rego)
Where does Vicroads and the DFSE get off saying we wont extend the rego of quads ?
It is a farken joke |

well it is a joke but who knows, attitudes change and so does govts, but Roger cant make any descision about rego, he's the dse part of it, and on another forum I belong to, it was a case of roger saying we will let any rego'd vechilce in the bush and vicroads were saying at the same time, dse wont let quads in regardless of rego due to damage they will do to the bush, this went back and forthfor ages, I even got roger to write that the dse had no bones about quads being in their parks, but vic roads didnt care a less. _________________ 2005 KFX700

roger is not the DFSE though
he is part of the plot to placate our anger in not being allowed access. I dont trust the DFSE whatsoever and will not be
the letters posted in this forum are alarming - I was personally not aware of the level of safety fwits which pervade the state govt and the DFSE people who simple wont accept ATVs in the bush.
My view is safety is a furphy - there are many things unsafe in this world and to single out ATVs is beyond a joke.
Perhaps violence is the answer to these pen pushers?

Yogie I apologise - I would not resort to violence.
I will aggressivket target individuals behind the restrictions though.

It seems that this issue has been up in the air since December 2008. My opinion is less talk and more action. What ever it is that needs to be done, i am on board whether it be reseaching ADR's to build a case against v-roads or liasing with the DSE to get them on board with the cause as they can push v-roads to allow ATV rec reg.
As i myself have written letters in the past to v-roads and had no replys and i've had a phone conversation and got a similar story to Yogie's "not ADR approved" well it cant be that hard to get ADR approval as all of these cheap nasty import bikes that are being flogged on ebay are somehow ADR approved.
So c'mon guys lets all get together and make it happen. Thats my 2 cents worth anyway. Cheers. _________________ 07 KFX700
