| the track is on captain cook drive just off brisbane road (easy to get to) last time i was told that you could only run turf tammers on the rear so i bought a set then when i arrived the other guys where just running mx tyres i think its a different story for 2 wheelers but you dont need to change bike set up much i fitted a sway bar and wound down my shocks but you dont even need to do that |

| will i be the only gumby on a 250 ? if i am, can i get a head start?? Seriously, i have been thinking about getting right into to the sport, but spending $12000+ and then relizing i suck at it would be grounds for divorce ! I have been looking at some 450s though! (just don't tell the wife.)But i think you are right, might be time to get another MAQ ticket anyway. |

True true , still I do enjoy a nice wide open balls to the wall slideways action
Hey Gazman , I started out on the old 200 yfm , damn their heavy when they come back & ride you , we all gotta start somewhere
If you want to start racing I would nearly look for a used race bike , it can work out cheaper in the long run if you get one already setup . I seen a stockish yfz450 sell on ebay last week for $4050 , so they will become more affordable , just gotta be in the right place @ the right time and at that price the wife shouldn't threaten to leave , thats only worth a few nights on the couch (or in the shed with the new toy). |

Yeah no probs on the couch , you might have to ask Pigsy bout the headstart , sounds fair to me , I'd squeeze him for a lap though
All for the good of the sport ay |

for an old iron top that quad is way faster than any other rappy ive tried
and like he said they aint much that can be done to it as it looks like it has just about every mod possible short of hacking into the frame and removing the startermotor and adding a turbo
hey what day n time do the quads race i wanna go see em ? |

the bike only won 1 qld title, the engine never had to be pulled down due to protests, the only protest against him was running methanol but it was not made formal so no action was taken, _________________ Queensland Quad Riders Association

no but if this is true , i would like to be corrected as i feel like an idiot after people have asked about the bike in regards to its history, if it is true why did he run methanol, it dosent need it.[/img] |

he didnt run methanol they tried to protest that he was running but would not front the money to protest it. there was a lot of rumor regarding the bikes engine and fuel, eg over sized cylinder but it was still 660, none of which were true _________________ Queensland Quad Riders Association
