Hey Guys!
I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the interest in Australia for a ATV freestyle show? Im trying to organize for a friends entertainment company in America to do a tour over here & wanted to sus out the market & see if anyone would be interested in attending and see if anyone had any ideas for me? Its huge in America & they are all sweet as riders that pull some crazy moves & it sucks that we dont get to see that very often here! Apparently the markets about to get huge, does anyone else know anything about this?

freestyle on quads in aussie at moment is like fmx on 2 wheelers were and look at that now few of worlds best fmxers are aussies with likes of maddo , bilko , sincs , matty mac and others all up there

who is the entertainment company that you are trying to organise to get from the united states? is it AKRAIX or H BOMB? or something else.
I know both of these are HUGELY into quad fmx. Speaking on my behalf, if it was one of them i would be extremely interested in going.
Just from the few posts that i have put on different forums, quad freestlye isnt Huge in australia at the moment, to me, it is nearly non-existant, and even if it is out there, it doesnt get any publication or advertisement.
I know there are few of us out there who are slowlly trying to build up some skills, i have a full quad aussie comp ramp, and there are other around who do as well. but i think the sport needs some time, and some publication.
I was only at the King of the Coast competition on last weekend, and though, it would be good if one day they had a quad class, cause they had amatures, pros, and 50's, so why not a quad class? |

It is actually! Its Akraix Entertainment who im trying to organize to preform over here, are you off the Akraix forum aswell?
Well even if its not big here yet, im sure with Akraix it wont take long! They are crazy & have some sweet moves! I went to a show in Hayward, MN in the States with them a few weekends ago, was awesome!
I have a bunch of friends who are into the whole riding scene & they agree that there isnt enough of it here, so im sure if i get everyone to help out, we can make something awesome out of it!

them guys are awsome!
pending time and money i'd be keen on going to their show!
(there's a show also in WA that have regular demo's of late also i think!)
i also have have a ramp.... slash trailer for portability:D
oneday i might even get to ride it!
plans are to be riding well enough to maybe ride infront of a show... maybe... (2 wheel mates will be anyway!)

I spoke to some guys from H Bomb back in July while in the states.
Few of them were pretty busted up but they where real keen on comming
down to Aus for a ride - not sure on a show.
They indicated mid to late 2009
Hope they heal up and come.

Sweet as, glad you guys know who im talking about!
Yeah they area all pretty crazy riders & there Fallout Films are off the hook, hopefully we can organize a show over here in Australia like the awesome ones they put on over in America!
One of the Akraix riders used to ride for H Bomb, Derek Guetter. Derek also did a few Crusty Tours, but is currently working all around America, preforming a little bit of everywhere, while filming for the Fallout Series. Jon is back on the Crusty tour early next year, so fingers crossed the whole crew will come to Australia to in the near future!
Has anyone seen any of the Fallout DVD's? |

Derek only toured in one crusty tour and Jon does every tour with his flip
the 50 guys at the show u went to was that Matty Lewis who won the 50cc fmx and Paul McKeon got 3rd ? if so they are 2 who are riding in fearless injection show

Derek first toured in 05 & returned on tour in 06 for 3 shows down south.
Jon & his flip is crazy! Pretty sure another Akraix rider, Caleb Moore also flips in the shows in America.
What show are you talking about? LOL was that to me? Im so lost its like nearly 3am here, so dont mind me! |

im from victoria southern australia and derek didnt ride at melb in 2006 i can assure you and i dont think he rode at any show in australia in 2006 maybe in new zealand . i got one of jons mufflers here in my shed from the 2005 tour lol
and no was to dickie
and think there is a 3rd flipper in the states now
and soon a aussie is to flip

Yeah i think he missed out on the Melbourne show, i know he did one near or in Sydney & Lismore as i was there for that one. Night was a bit of a blur, they are crazy, never again will i ride in a car with any of the Crusty riders driving!
Thats awesome about someone in Australia back flipping a quad, when is that happening? Does he preform @ any shows in Aus? |

tripper 2006 crustys didnt do a show in melb it was the east coast carnage tour and was regional centres ( i am a die hard fan and also know Blake and Cam well )
2006 was melb show, 2006 regional , 2007 melb show , 2008 regional again
and yeah i had it on a 450 i bought and took it off and kept it a mate had jons or dereks ims pegs aswell
at top the fearless injection show will have Jay going for a backflip in front of a crowd for first time

Haha well im sure that you know more about it than i do! I just want to get the Akraix guys over to Australia after spending a few weeks with them & seeing what they do & HOW MUCH THEY ALL LOVE AUSSIES, they are all keen to come, but due to shows in America, they are a little to busy to organize anything, so thats where i come in
Pretty sure they are doing a show somewhere around here (In in Cali as we speak) soon with 2 riders flipping in one show - apparently that hasnt happened yet?
Sweet, should G this guy up and get him to come and ride in the show with them & have 3 in one place @ one time!! Hopefully by then Derek will have the flip down pat & there could be 4 !! Hopefully someone will post how he goes, im way interested to hear about it! |

Jon has a house in albury

hey oz 450, i am pretty sure you are right about the 50cc class and who one and who came third.
who is the aussie that is going to flip?
and i am pretty sure there is more than 3 guys flipping over in the USA now. few no name guys.
as far as i know, caleb moore rides for h bomb now, which is a shame for akraix, because he is an awesome rider...
i have all the fallout dvd's, and they are all awesome. gonna order the new one as soon as i can. |
