| With interest from Townsville, Gladstone, Dysart ,Clermont , Moranbah, Roma and Brisbane it may be worth thinking about spreading the MX series around the state a bit. What do you guys think? |

Yes 250R, get your ass into gear!! How about a race or 2 in Rocky?? I know someone that will tow your bike and gear up there while you sit at the airport waiting for a flight sipping down lates. |

I couldn't agree more . Our biggest hurdle is the travel involved but campared to WA i don't think we have much to whinge about . Can anyone tell me how far people are honestly prepared to travel I reckon 5 to 10 hour's should be average and not to much to ask for , I 've alway's wanted to go to Townsville it'd be worth a taking a a coupla day's of work, if those guy's are prepared to travel so should we.
Bottom line is to make it a true Qld series we have to include as much of Queensland as possible it's the best chance we have of running multiple classes.
If we are gonna give it a go now is the best time to try, the interest and dedication is in the north . |

previously, ive asked for someone up north to step up to the plate and organise the central and nth qld guys for numbers and what tracks we could race at etc and im yet to hear from anyone?
so obviously they dont want to be included? the guys that seem to think going nth is a good idea are the blokes for sth qld, so thats where we should concentrate our efforts. i will put the details in our next club newsletter so please make sure your in the qld quad riders so you know what is happening. There will also be info on the qld mx titles at reedy creek as well.

C'Mon BigBoy,
Lets do it!! (I mean go up north obviously..........)
I'll take your pink Blaster up on my trailer. It'll be fun going north.(I'm not just saying that cos my folks live up there-honest)
Rocky is a 8 hr drive or a 1.5 hr flight. Townsville sounds kind of far though.(13 hrs drive) If it's in Rocky it's pretty much half way (9 hrs from Cairns & 8 hrs from Brissy) |

Previously it was stated flat that only SE QLD was going to be included, therefore that would mean no nth or central tracks or numbers and therefore no need for anyone to step up or anyone from Nth or central QLD to join the club!!
Please note I am not having a go at anyone, probably wont even race next year but there is a lot of guys up this way who would go south if 1 or two round came north. |

sorry mate, youve obviously missed part of our conversation previously.
The question was asked that if central/nth qld riders wanted to hold a race up their way could we include a round or two as part of our sth east series. (in otherwords a state quad series)I said it wouldnt be a problem as long as we have numbers and someone up their willing to push it.
if your willing to nominate yourself give me a call.

I might also add, that it is your perogitive not to join the club, but you also miss out on the benefits. we have a bi-monthly mag, and discounts at hardiman atv, suspensionrus, austraco and pro yamaha.
Get the best price you can from these guys and they will give you something more for being a member.
You get your $40 back on your first purchase. I normally would save about $200 or more per year and consider the club a necessity.
Then again, some people can afford to waste money, but not me ! |

O.K perhaps I can help, I did not really want to get too involved, I am out of the country for three weeks starting today so will call you when I get back.
FYI
I am well aware of the benifits of joining a club, especially the benifit of having a say with MQ.
I also think you guys are doing a great job!! |

what does your normal practice day involve... what time start/finish and cost.
Do you have to be member of QQRA or will a day license work for the race on the 21st Oct... _________________ It's not broken.. It's just a Raptor.... |

hi guys,
yeah 14th is a good one, we can ride wednesday arvos, sat or sunday.
the track is prepped on tuesdays as they have senior bike practice on tuesday nights, but if you want to make it sunday the track will be pretty stuffed. but you'll still get a feel for it and youll be better for it.
practice is $10 for members and $15 for non members, and you either need to purchase a day licence or have a mq licence.
and if your coming posty, leave your mail bag at home okay?
**Remember you need a full national mq licence to race on the 25th of november ! no day licences ************ |

Exellent, Saturday the 14th october would be ideal.
Bit unfair I can't swing the bag's of the back, I've been making some calculation's [speed x trajectory divided by air density] and if the wind is in the right direction , I believe I can fly , oh well I still have my mantra "Deliver the letter , da rougher the better" |

We have a good number of riders from central and nth QLD willing to travel for 2007, plenty of tracks and club days up this way to piggyback off.
How many rounds would be run? I was thinking something like 5 - 6 and drop one. |

450yam,
Just wondering what part of Queensland you reside in? Sounds like you are in Central Qld some where. I am currently living in Gladstone and would like to get back into the scene but finding it hard to find new places to go riding. We use to ride at Five Rocks but this is now closed.
With the quad numbers starting to pick up in this area wouldn't mine trying to get something together.
Cheers

Fourtrax,
Whats going on with this series thing?????
Are you still pushing it because Dads travelling up around that area of Queensland for the next year and a bit so he knows a couple of guys that ride quads etc.
Have you spoken to him about organising something with the locals where he is??

hey mick,
ive got to get this qld mx titles put to bed first. i have the series half sorted, but ive just had something else throw a spanner in the works.
I should have more details at our club meeting next wednesday.
As for central qld participating, i always said that if someone puts there hands up and gets the numbers then im all for it. it would be great to have a 6 round atv series !
talk to you then.
