Yes it is true about the older model suzukis chewing third gear but the end of 08 the 09 and the 010 models have all had the problem fixed i can't comment on the KTM but a mate has one and it's seen the back of the ute more than the race track _________________ The main thing is to have fun I just think second place is no fun

Are you talking suzuki's?? because it is common knowledge 06 and 07 models had gearbox problems it was their only fault, and as you confirmed early 08 models. _________________ The main thing is to have fun I just think second place is no fun

suzuki 06 had rear shock mount weld problem 07 had no problems 08 thrid gear ,i own a 06 and 07 nothing gone wrong yet
the kwaka is actually quite a strong bike little narrow but once moderfied very compeditive, seating like a honda pushes you into the fuel tank but with subframe mod positions like a suzuki ,motor stronge as |

The 2009 model LTR's still chew 3rd gear, we hve 2 of them, one has only got a fue hours on it, and the other has done 3rd already.
our 07 has been fine untill just recently (after about 100 hours) and it busted the primary drive gear.
suzuki's are definatly good bikes, and with a set of nerf bars a killswtich and a cherry bomb they go good on the track.
i've ridden a standard can-am also and they are a nice bike, the suspension works id say better than on the ltr although the ltr seems to have more power.
both a really good bike if you maintain them properly. |
