i dont know if anyone was watching channel ten news this evening but i caught half a story about a bloke that is trying to fit some kind of anti-roll over system to an atv. What it showed was looked like a normal car spring mounted to the handlebars & a kind of u shaped roll bar that is mounted to the rear grab bar & this bar is a little taller than the riders head. from what i could gather is when an atv rolls the rear mounted bar hits the ground before the rider & cops the impact or get crushed, its in an early development stage but what i found interesting was the goverments input to this product & wanting it holted .it seems the inventor cant do much more with his invention until there is a coronial inquest into atv deaths in oz. the stats said there are over 200,000 atv's in this country & that has been 81 atv related deaths since 2000 & a the pollies dont seems to want to know anything about quads, i hope somone else saw this on the news to, as i said i didnt see all of it but as the title suggests "things not looking good for quads". i think rec reg is a long long time away if it even happens... _________________ 04 TRX 450r

I wish they would split this figure up into
Racing Quads{sure MA would have an accurate figure}
Farm Quads{the doods that wear no safety gear, not even a helmet, present company excluded}
and others
also do they state how many 2 wheeler motorbikes have had a fatality
same, MX on farms etc.
As we say to everyone, Quads arnt dangerous, its the monkey on its back.
Why dont they ban computers, look at all the deaths and marriage break ups they have caused?
Why dont they ban Glass, look how many people its cut and killed...
Dont get us started on cars LOL _________________ www.waquadmx.com |

| your spot on mrs gaitar if they would look at the diff between sport quad riding and farming they would see there is a MASSIVE dif between them and realise we the sport quad riders should NOT be put in the same boat as the farmers |
