G'day,
Me and a few mates about to start our track.

Any one got any tricks and tips for us. We have bulldozer, front endloader and bobcat to use and pretty much as much space as we need.
Looked at a few websites and we have a few ideas.

Once again any inside tips would be good.

Make it way too hard!
You have to build a track that you hate because it too hard otherwise you will be board with it in weeks

You will need a lot of dirt and more than you probably think.
Good luck

Make sure you have some soft and hard soil areas, the soft areas will be a maintenance nightmare but as said previous, gotta keep it interesting.

Everyone who gives advice will be more then welcome. As long as you like shooting, fishing and helping blokes out with their quads.

we are pretty lucky to have ample places to ride having access to properties and crown land.

Doubles are always good fun and a challenge. Big fast straights too.

as previously mentioned make it harder and faster then you would normally ride.
every few klm's put a long straight or 2 and then lots of tight stuff, with hills and drop off"s if land suits.

quads guns and a bulldozer. sounds like fun to me,
where do i sign...

I agree, harder is going to keep you interested longer

But I would add some easy stuff in aswhell, no use buston your gut to do one lap, or that masive double scares the crap out of you and you only end up riding around it.

If you have access to the machines whenever you need them, you can always add harder stuff in later as you get more confident.

Let me know where and when if you need help - I bags the bobcat.. laughing

Depends what sort of track you are after.
I am lucky enough to be in the same position and are also in the process of making some tracks.

A track for the young bloke and his quad - natural terrain with some little bumps which in time can get bigger.
A moto cross track for the bigger boys
A 15 min enduro track which is mixed up with different terrain including hills, gullies, tight and open sections suitable for my quads and rhino

Now in the process of doing some tracks for me comp truck - even will have one stage under lights.

Sooo if you have the land and the equipment try mixing it up as much as you can. Table top jumps are always good as you can make them longer then you think you can jump and you will find over time you go that little bit further until you start hitting the down ramp.

I have also done a track at my mates place which was tight track with some step ups and there was a jump we put over the end of his inlet to his dam. Only took up three acres but was good fun for saturday arvo.

Cheers Jackass

Add a few nice flat open sweeping corners to get some fast flatrack style slides happening. Post an add for landfill wanted to save you digging craters. Had a mate who done this construction companies where more than happy to dump dirt on his block. Made a killer track. But I gues it depends on the location as to weather it's worth the travel to dump it.
