 |
|
hey guys just wondering if there are any 2009 yfz450r owners out there who have upgraded the whole exhaust system yet?
I have been looking at all the pipes from the states and all the guys there are running a PC5 EFI controller to remap to suit the pipe and air filter.
Only thing stopping me buying one is the stockist in australia doesnt do them for yfz45or controllers and importing one has no warrenty then.
I'm hoping there are some of you here that can suggest what combo to buy for my yfz450r.
Thanks
Billy |

I have got the following on my YFZ450r
GYTR pc 3 (power comander)
GYTR exhaust the 94db one(black tip) not the 100db(grey tip)
GYTR high flow filter and outer wear
If you purchase the GYTR power comander from yamaha they can put the australian performance progame in it for you for it is set for our conditions not the usa ..
i race hard pack so i also have a 15tooth front sprocket they are the same sprocket as the 700 raptor .. the 08 back yfz sprockets do not fit . i also run 18s on the back.
I have run GYTR gear on my 700 raptor and i went like a champ all day every day. then i bought a 08 yfz and i put all diffent brand pipes/jets/filters on it and that bike only lasted 3 months i was not happy with the way it run. this is why i have run all GYTR gear again for my latest bike and i am happy with it.. so my 2cents is go GYTR.. yamaha have made all that stuff to suit that bike. _________________ Sponsors ,Cullys Yamaha,Pirtek Malaga

i have a 94db full drd system with a pro design filter kit
and have tryd both the vortex and the powercomander 5
ther both great products but i ended up geting a better curv from the pc5 because you can make ur own map, or use tuning link, like i did and it runs sweet now _________________ dummett #26 mxc |

Hello
first a little introduction
i am not from australia but from the netherlands.
also drive a nice white red yfz450r 09 like the bike very much.
i also have a gytr 100db exhaust.
i like this pipe.but its very loud.
also have a doma -exhaust on my quad(this one is a lot more quiet),but for my feeling the gytr runs better and smoother.
i saw you have a gytr 94db on your yfz 450r and not the 100db
on the yshop of your country there is the next item:
http://yshop.yamaha-motor.com.au/yshop/Product_detail.asp?CatID=2&ModelID=YZ450F&RangeID=21&CatDesc=Motocross+4+Stroke&offset=15&ProdID=7972
i can't find it anywhere else then in australia
now i am curious if you can tell me if it fits the 99/100db exhaust to make it quiet,or what is the difference between those two. and how about power with the 94db exhaust?
reason i ask this is i like this pipe very much and next season (cross) we have to go to 94db also.
thanks |
