My understanding is when looking at a arms that if they are +2 they will widen the front end of my quad 2 inches, but what does it mean when the description is +2 +1, its probably a dumb question and very logical but can someone explain?

The +2" is 2 inches each side wider and the +1 is 1 inch further forward from the original wheel base.

some quads, especially the banshee, are too front heavy, resulting in excessive wheelspin and poor handling/steering.

moving the wheels forward one inch effectively moves the weight bias to the rear, in the same way a shorter swing arm does.

alot of the newer sport quads already have a good weight distribution, and only really need wider a-arms, but for some reason +2+1s seem to be pretty popular with all yamahas (banshees raptors and 450s)
