the head on my oil plug just Disolved into a pile of metal filings ive take the plug on and off a 1/2 dozen times before using a 19mm socket
but today the head just disintergrated and now the oil plug wont come off
how can i get it off ? |

try to use a single hex 19 but if that dont work you might be able to bash a old 18mm socket onto the head of the bolt. be carefull not to crack the case... _________________ 01 Banshee

ok the 18mm worked a treat my neighbour and god send showed me how he knocked on 18 mm ring spanner then witrh some gentile tapping on the head of the spanner he then applied force at the same time and off it came ........
now to find a new one ! |

Just curious, how did you damage a sump plug?
I've never damaged one ever and I'm @nal about changing my oil after every ride (I don't ride alot ). _________________ Don't close your eyes during the crash, you'll miss the best part |

the stock ones that come with raptor 350s have a history of self destructing so ive found out.
when oil changing i dont force it so its to tite .. and allways used the correct socket size when removing it ... the edges of the head just fell off in the socket
for such a bullet proof motor they sure as hell made the sump plug out of crap |

I've never needed a 12 point socket.....EVER!
