if it is stock, put all the carb settings back to stock. If he still fouls plugs he is probably not riding it hard enough. Remember these are race bikes, not something designed to poke around in the bush

we had a same prob on a yz 125 put 4 plugs in it in 2 weeks very annoying, we were thinking it was a bit sus as the bike was new so we took it back as they said it could be a bad magneto but it checked out fine, we were also running yamaha lube oil which we got with the bike and was running it at 25 to 1 (stuff is rubbish) so we tryied motul and castrol tts @ 50 to 1 been fine ever since. might be worth a look

Yeah get rid of that Yamalube. Try TTS or I use Amsoil Interceptor at 40:1 no problems. Although it smells nice stay away from Shell Racing M castor/synth, it'll foul plugs like a mofo and offers less protection.

Sounds like dodgey oil to me and or old fuel, you should'nt need to change clip settings from stock they were spot on from factory(my sons 07 was anyway) We run motorex 40-1 in the yz and 24-1 in my banshee and never fouled one plug.
