Hi evry1, just wondering if anyone would be interested in starting up an MX club in cairns for quads?
This wil only happen if we get the numbers, cos there is not much point if no one is gonna race. Will need help with managing the club.
Problem is we need a track, maybe if we try to get the cairns MX club let quads use their track? I have already mailed them but they dont respond......Any ideas would be appreciated, let me know if you are interested,

James Gammie has already tried getting quads on the MX track there. He had it all lined up for a few quads from the area to ride and a few from townsville to come up but they pulled the pin on them at the last minute. I am up there on and off for work but if there is riding up there I will bring the YFZ up.

yh i know him, i have tried mailing the motocycle club, asking if they will let quads race, but they have never responded, so i guess i will take that as a "no", but i thought if we got a group of them coming up every so often, that would be good for the community, club and all the rest of it, cos after all quads fill in ruts and so on, maybe if we got a whole group of people one weekend to race here, then the club might realise that it is actually a good idea to let quads race, and even if the quad riders dont show up, they still have the motobikes!

I haven't had a look at the track but it sounds like a fun place to ride from what I have been told. If I come up and I have the quad ready for Gum Valley I might bring it up with me.
I might be up there next week. Will let you know.

| ok, there is not much point, cos i have contacted someone friom the club, and they said that they arnt gonna run quads. |

Thats a bummer. Fair enough. You might have to make the trip down to Woodstock or Charters Towers to check it out through the year.
